LUKE CAGE Official Logo and Teaser Trailer; Premieres Sept. 30 on Netflix
When fans wrap up watching the second season of Daredevil, they'll be treated to a new look at the next Marvel property coming to Netflix: Luke Cage. In the sneak peek, which is Netflix's version of a post-credits scene, Luke Cage is seen in a gym surrounded by armed assailants.
Luke enters the gym and calmly stares down the gunmen. He tells them, "You must not have heard about me." The men open fire and Luke is not injured but his clothes are damaged, which he's "about sick" of, so he opens up a can of whoop-ass on the men. Then the new Luke Cage logo graces our screens. Luke Cage premieres September 30. Daredevil's second season is available now.

Sonia Braga to Play Claire Temple's Mother in LUKE CAGE
Claire Temple's mother is coming to Marvel's Luke Cage. Emmy and three-time Golden Globe nominee Sonia Braga (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Moon Over Parador, Brothers & Sisters) has joined the series as Soledad Temple. Fans previously met her daughter, Claire (Rosario Dawson), in Marvels Daredevil.
Braga became a household name in her native Brazil in 1975 when she starred in the telenovela Gabriela. 10 years later, she earned international acclaim for her role in Kiss of the Spider Woman, for which she received her first Golden Globe nomination and kicked off her English-speaking career. She would go on to star in Moon Over Parador and The Burning Season, where she garnered two more Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination. Recently, shes been seen in Alias and Royal Pains.
"A character as strong as Claire needs an equally powerful mother, and with Sonia we found the perfect actress to deliver the stellar performance we needed," said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. "In Marvels Luke Cage, fans will now get a chance to see where Claire got the fire we love her for."
"Sonia Braga? Rosario Dawson? 'Nuff said. I'm tuning in," said Executive Producer and Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker. "When it came to finding someone who was both formidable yet possessed a light touch, Sonia was the perfect choice and has been a Godsend."

Mike Colter Reveals Where and When LUKE CAGE Takes Place
During an interview with ComicBook.com for Jessica Jones at New York Comic Con, Mike Colter spent most of his time talking about approaching the role of Luke Cage on this series, but he did also drop some new tidbits about Luke Cage, the next series in development for Netflix and Marvel, and the third of the four Defenders series.
"I can tell you what theyve allowed me to, which is basically, Luke Cage will take place a few months after Jessica Jones," Colter said. "So in real time, if you watch Jessica Jones, youll find [at the end] Luke Cage uptown in Harlem, working, trying to make ends meet. So I can say youll find him uptown in Harlem, and in a completely different world from Hells Kitchen. Luke Cage really hasnt figured out what hes doing. Hes tending bar, hes bouncing around. And for good reason, hes a fugitive, he has some skeletons in his closet
"Hes trying to basically stay off the radar. The people he hangs around with, though, are in need. Ultimately, hed rather be alone, but with the way hes equipped he does step up. Thats what its about, its about finding that inner feeling to make you want to take action. Sometimes we just sit around, and sit on our hands and dont do anything because its like 'hey, thats not my problem.' You cant do that when youre a superhero. You have these gifts, now use them."
