He was the definition of a journeyman for MMA, he was naturally gifted but didn't take the sport very seriously, he had the athletic ability to pull off the occasional upset but not the technical ability to be consistent enough to cement himself as a contender.

I don't think Japan really cares considering it's a nationalistic country in the first place and why would it make them lucky? No one really cares about baseball either outside the U.S and a handful of countries not sure what your point is.

Watched it yesterday, wanted to watch something that was easy to follow and required low levels of attention, went pretty much as expected maybe a little bit worse but overall, can confirm it's watchable on a hangover. Worst part about it was the CGI, they had some weird animated fight sequences...
GSP by miles it's not even a debate. Finishing Hughes twice is way bigger than beating Woodley by decision once, 2 time champ at WW > 1 time champ at WW, 9 title defenses > 5 title defenses, GSP has more career victories and both finished twice.
