Like all strength and conditioning it becomes more specific as you approach a fight. The guy I have programming my strength and conditioning trains a heap of regional MMA guys, BJJ athletes and a number of international level MMA fighters including in the UFC. MMA isn't my goal and I am 12...
DC most likely grinds him out, but he is also very hittable. I genuinely think ALex is big enough to give DC problems at LHW. His finishing ability wasn't great on the ground. He usually hurt people on the feet surprisingly before following them down at 205. Cummins, Hendo,Volkan and Rumble were...
I legit believe this to be honest. DC doesn't have the finishing ability on the ground. DC walks straight into that left hook or an uppercut.
Of all people Rumble is the only one I think beats Alex outside of Jones in that era. Rumble probably manages to lose via RNC though.
Its individual. Most would stop lifting anything decent 2-4 out. Ammy would depend on how often you are fighting and what level ammy. I would personally consider doing a deload 2 weeks out and not lift the week of the figth, but that's theoretical.
BJJ comps I just line it up on a deload week...
Ilia just put up a photo of Volk getting KO'd after he apparently said he reckons Max will beat him.
Even his own fans were calling him out on ducking Max on that post haha.
If it's him making the posts he is Conor coke levels of bad on there, if he is paying someone, he needs a new guy. He is...
The issue is Pantoja is 2-0 against half his bloody division. Mokaev would have gotten the shot but he should have lost his last fight and has barely scraped by Tim Elliot and Perez. The Elliot fight should have been a TKO if that legal knee hurt him as he said and the Perez fight was him...
Heaps of guys use different options at my gym from HR, Arm strap and even the oura ring.
I reckon I could pull off a chest strap and I do rate garmin above the others. Nice tight rashguard should prevent any issues for me atleast. I swear polar is the main armband one I have seen.
That paired...
Yeah mate, grabbed one off Amazon or somewhere like that for a great price. I bought the solar because I liked the previous model so much I was willing to spend the money. I also got it on a good sale.
Screw waiting for another year or two for that to happen. Ilia needs to get a defence in soon or we won't see more than one this year. A card being built around a champ should happen after a defence or two atleast.
100%. He was talking about the division being done because he beat Volk and now has realised Volk was just that damn good before that short notice Islam fight.
Max with 5 round cardio AND power is scary. Ilia has Emmet, Bryce and Volk on his resume only. There is a whole division of killers for...
Copying the movements of the sport always seemed stupid to me. Even zerchers squats which have become all the rage again because it's like fighting for the underhooks. I think strength and conditioning should be separate from training. The Zercher isn't good because it mimics fighting for...
I have the solar one and I love it. I had the model before and everything but the band held up from the first release date.
I used it to track my HRV, Sleep and to program my runs now for warmups and intervals. I may eventually get a HR strap for it, but to be honest I just use RPE or the talk...

The actual ABS stats in full abive
In 2024, there were 14,722 deaths that occurred by 31 January and were registered by 31 March. This is 91 deaths (0.6%) fewer than in 2023, and 1,553...
Training in the gym should support the movements you don't do in your sport. Most gym work is avoiding the imbalances that come from your sport.
If I can squat through a full range of motion, I can squat a partial rep. Gym training can be overly specific. I want to take my body through full...
Yeah mate. Why wouldn't it be? It comes down to what meets your goals.
More isn't always better. If you don't make an income from your fitness, just train enough to reach whatever your goals are.
You know that only the best of the best actually earn decent coin from these sports right? The difference is even the worst of the worst on a soccer team, are better than 99% of recreational players. On top of that in season you are playing every week, not competing 2-3x a year.
If fighters...
That's awesome mate. 2 miles is good. Any reason you chose that distance? I like to use time for my runs unless I need to hit a certain distance for something.
The idea being there is some great science on cardiac adaptations around the 30 min mark. Basically the longer in that lower intensity...
I train 10-12 sessions as a shift worker with a young family each week. Not the same level as a pro MMA fighter and I do more strength and conditioning work these days than skills sessions, after it being the opposite way last year, but it's doable when you cut out all other crap. Main thing is...
