Played around a little today. My first experience with VR so I was pretty blown away by the entire experience.
Only game I played so far was GT7. Took me a minute to get used to the perspective, but once I did the gameplay was so much better. The VR perspective gives you a more accurate idea...
I had Neo Geo Gold system with 5 or 6 games. I think back then the system was ~$700 and each game was $150-250. Also had a Panasonic 3DO which was also like ~$700 at launch.
Thanks mom and dad.
I've never stopped playing Overwatch. Usually get a dozen or so matches in a week.
I'm conflicted about OW2. I enjoy a lot of the improvements, but I also enjoyed the synergy of two tanks in OW1, and the more MOBA feel to the game. OW2 plays more like an FPS, which I think will actually make...
I'm a casual sim racer. Used to have a full rig, now I just have a wheel stand. Just picked up a PS5 and plan to play Dirt 5, F122, and Gran Turismo 7.
I can probably point to a few moments in my life where I got the feeling that the bar had been raised and gaming wouldn't be the same.
Street Fighter 2 Arcade - There were arcade fighting games before SF2, but SF2 took it mainstream. After school there was a line at the local 7-11. You put your...
Blizzard has been dead for awhile. It's nothing but IP's now.
I have little faith that this will change anything. Expect to see more gaming as a service I guess.
I beat most of the hard NES/SNES games as a kid. I was a dedicated gamer.
The one game that stands out for me was Kid Chameleon on Sega Genesis. I played that game for months and could never beat it.
In College we lived near campus and had a retro gaming setup. My roommates Cousin would stop by 3-4 times a week and beat Mike Tyson's Punchout from start to finish without taking a hit. If he got hit, he would quit. The only characters that ever hit him were Tyson and occasionally Super Macho Man.
I had Sega CD and 32x. The only game I even remember enjoying from those consoles was a game called Third World War. It was a military action/strategy game and I played the shit out of it.
I also had the 3DO and Neo Geo Gold. Road Rash on 3DO was ahead of its time. And all the games on Neo Geo...
Does anyone remember International Superstar Soccer 64? I remember me and my buddy playing that game for daaaaaaays.
As for top 3 I voted;
Zelda: OoT
GoldenEye
1080 Snowboarding (just because of how much time I spent playing)
I'm not sure anyone predicted this level of failure when this thread was made.
I wonder how much all the devs (kaplan, etc.) who recently left knew about the investigation. It said the investigation has been going for 2 years, so I'm sure a lot of the higher execs knew something was coming.
Why make a new game when you can just milk the online components of your current game?
GTA Online is a cash cow, and they can add anything they want to it, including real-life gambling.
