None of those arguments seem sound. I dont think it will ever be equal funding. A city close to Houston (Katy) built a HS football stadium for 72M from local taxpayer money. Imagine spending 72M on a high school football stadium? Sounds crazy. If I lived there and didnt have kids I'd be pissed...

Good point bud. Louisiana has always had poor education as it is. I mentioned earlier that when they allowed casinos in the 90s, they used as a selling point the idea that the casino tax money would fund education. Today we are still bottom 5 or so in education.

Not totally. I'm sure there are some racial things. The new city will be 55% white so 45% minority. Def lends itself to more of an economic divide with some other points being minor. But the reality of btr is they received a large influx of poor after Katrina that never returned to New Orleans...
