another fighter who trains in boston, really curious the point of tapping into the necromancy skills to conjure up a thread this old lol
what did red-line do to you.. need a hug?
schedule it so you break the fast post working out
bccas are fine as is coffee
fine tune it based on how the body reacts.. for some people it takes a while to get used to. try softening it up and go 14/8, 13/9, etc till you are ready to add a few more hours
notice a big difference when I can...
as long as youre happy.. end of the day gotta do you!
afraid to even ask this question now.. dont plan on retiring from the sherdog forums now?!
*nervously awaits*
ball is one my true loves, right along-side muay thai
man I am able to sprint for days, if I get on a full court it goes without fail Im going to run the opposing big guy into the ground. having strong legs makes for a strong base, and makes me almost immovable in the post. held my own...
hahah know the pain my man.. bring in a straight up bath towel to keep the sweat at bay, and even that is completely soaked by the time training is all finished up
tackling a 32oz gatorade post training goes a long way in recovery.. notice a huge difference when I dont tackle enough fluids on...
Long story short.. 4 years ago after my last fight, kru ended up moving north of the wall and the gym more or less slowly died off. Ever since then have been searching for a gym/fight team/coach I was willing to fight for (not an easy process, but thats another story)
4 years out of the ring...
not strength training per-say, find a lot of benefits while balling out 2x a week during my current fight camp (non-stop sprinting and banging with the big boys)
using these games as a litmus test.. gauging how fast and for how long I can keep the running up for
though if I was going to pick...
will say, one of my partners years back went into the marines.. he FUCKED everyone up when they were fighting/sparring/doing hand to hand combat
side note.. battle the VA on behalf of vets via a law firm
if any vets have questions/issues feel free to PM
Ive been doing IF for years now, and usually throw in a 24+ hour fast each week.. no issues whatsoever with headaches/etc, so dont know what youre talking about
if anything, find it easier when you load up on carbs *shrugs shoulders*
