Nate Robinson is listed as 5' 9".
Jake Paul looks to be a couple of inches taller, so he's at least 5' 11" to 6':
Here is Jake Paul standing next to KSI, who is billed as 6 feet.
How do you think Jake Paul would do against Khabib in an MMA match?
6 ft 1 in (1.85 m)
189 lbs (85.7 kg)
74 in reach (1.88 m)
vs.
5 ft 10 in (1.78 m) | -3 in (-7.62 cm) disadvantage
155 lb (70 kg) | -34 lbs (-15.4 kg) disadvantage
70 in reach (1.78 m) | -4 in (-10cm) disadvantage
That's an interesting scenario I didn't think about.
If Stipe loses to Ngannou, which following fight orders do you think the UFC would see as the more popular one?
Stipe vs. Ngannou 3
(then the winner fights Jones)
or
Ngannou vs. Jones
(winner fights Stipe coming off a loss)
I'm one of the many Sherdoggers who did not buy into the "Rousey can beat male MMA fighters" hype, but... in a fight with MMA rules, I seriously believe Rousey can close the distance and toss Mayweather to the ground and submit him with ease.
I'd like to see Stipe fight Ngannou, and if he wins, fight Jones. If he wins both, I think he will retire as undisputed GOAT HW.
If he loses by KO to Ngannou, I think he will try to fight again, just like what happened with Cormier.
Holm isn't just a boxer, though. According to her bio, she trained kickboxing the same time she trained boxing under Jackson-Wink MMA since she was in high school.
I would compare Holm to Overeem. Both competed in kickboxing, but they have been training MMA for a very long time.
I don't think Renzo is in the position to make that statement since he has never been in an Ivy league school. John Danaher is the only top BJJ coach who also attended an Ivy league school (Columbia University), so we need to hear his opinion on this subject.
Awesome shoop, by the way...
I didn't know PFL had a 155lb division until now. She'll probably cut to 155 then :).
Kayla Harrison is a terrible match-up for Claressa Shields, because of her Olympic Judo background. High level wrestlers/judokas are always terrible matchups for high level boxers.
LOL I agree. It's a weird thing to have against a fighter. Maybe because I'm used to see different post fight dances and think it adds some variety to the boring same generic post fight jump the cage celebration.
I rarely see any hate posts for Nunes. As for Shevchenko, she gets bashed for being "boring," and I think it's from Joanna fans (fans rivalry) or just people who don't like her dancing. :D I haven't seen anyone said her personality is unlikeable. Same with Zhang.
She looks pretty good for WMMA standards. The UFC would definitely pick her up in a couple of years if she can develop her kicking and grappling skills. She's only 25 right now, so time is still on her side.
She has the confidence with a hint of arrogance like Rousey, so maybe that could come off unlikeable to some people.
There are female fighters who have confidence without acting c0cky (Nunes, Shevchenko, Zhang), so they are generally well liked by fans.
It's funny you said that, because I was thinking she is like the striking counterpart of Ronda.
With the right (favorable/handpicked) match-ups, the UFC could probably get her to become champion, just like they fast-tracked Conor to the FW title.
However, the women's divisions right now have...
