Pico - It wouldn’t be wise to throw him in the fire right now as he’s building back up, but l’d give him a 50% chance of beating most UFC guys outside the top 15 and some in the 10-15 range. He’d be a stylistic nightmare for a guy like Bryce Mitchell, for example.
Caldwell - I agree he’s...
Both are down at BW—Archuleta recently won the vacant title against Patchy Mix. In fact, Bellator’s BW division is shaping up very nicely as well. They already have Archuleta, Pettis, Mix and Higo and just signed Matheus Mattos and Magomed Magomdov (the guy who went 1-1 against Yan).
At 20 years old, Cody Garbrandt got knocked out so violently he had a seizure in the cage and even with a suspect chin, nonexistent fight IQ, and a fraction of the wrestling pedigree Pico has, he still went on to win a UFC title against the BW GOAT.
Pico will be fine if he continues to maximize...
IIRC, Coker said he’d be matched carefully prior to this fight being booked, so they might throw him to the wolves in his next fight.
I’d like to see him take one more fight at around the level where he fought tonight, but I don’t think Bellator has many mid-tier guys that will be willing to...
His opponent tonight was tougher than his record suggests. Of his 8 losses coming in, 5 were against guys that have gone on to fight in the UFC and 1 was against Jason Soares (14-0 Titan FC champ). He had never lost by KO/TKO, and in his last fight he beat a 16-1 fighter.
I thought De Jesus...
Wtf does any of this have to do with being dumb enough to join the military?
Scared about getting sick?

Plus the modern division of labor that didn’t exist in 6th century China. People who are good at fighting can do it for a living and then go on to coach it. In most mid-sized cities there are a dozens of MMA gyms with multiple full-time coaches.
How much can you really “master” a martial art...
If you’re fighting multiple guys who really want to beat you up, knowing how to grapple (wrestling in particular) is more important than striking imo, but your 40 time is even more important.
Lol
I wrestled for 6 years and started training BJJ sophomore year of high school, only dabbled in striking here and there over that time. I also happened to have gotten into more street fights than I’m proud of while in college, and for a while afterwards.
There has not been a single...
...you guys do know almost everyone tends to exaggerates how much they gain after weigh-ins right?
Everyone on here quotes post weigh-in weight like it legit.
Apparently, he’s not scared enough. Conor is not a “top level endurance athlete”.
80/20 makes sense for a long term training plan but in an MMA fight you need to be able to stay close to redline for most of the fight. Unless you’re already in phenomenal shape coming in, you’re not going to get...
This. Conor has not been very impressive above 145. He has severe cardio issues and he will always have shit wrestling despite what many people want to believe.
If Cowboy stands in front of Conor, the fight may look like the Conor vs Eddie fight, and the “CoNoR iS bAcK” hype train will start...
