I guess it hits everyone different. I saw a 200lb UFC fighter KO a 155lb UFC fighter in practice with a head kick. Dude took one day off and was in the gym the next day. He went easy but still trained nonetheless.
I think all fouls should be called out...what's the point of having rules if you allow people to break em.

#1: Yes, pride was awesome. They had the best middle weights and heavy weights. They understood how to build a fighter in the eyes of the audience, way before the UFC learned the trade, and they had walk outs & stare downs that would give you goosebumps.

Hey numb nuts, the UFC's business model is not dependent upon an obsolete technology, like DVD's and VHS.

Pride went out of business bc their TV contract got cancelled so they lost the ad revenue. UFC almost went out of business bc they were spending a lot of money by running the shows but not getting enough advertising back...until they did the ultimate fighter on spike TV. That's when they blew...

They should really revamp themselves. I mean fighting has been around since...well now that I think about it - forever. But they really need to do something NEW b/c a guy on sherdog compared...
They don't need to change a damn thing. Tournament's are the old school format and were fraught with logistical issues. From a business marketing perspective, tournaments do not provide a steady stream of content.
UFC is so damn popular today, it helped spawn the #1 podcast plus a couple less...
