I like both but prime GSP takes it. He's aged a bit, likely lost a step, but that being said Usman is a phenomenal torchbearer for the new generation. His improved striking was on display as well as his chin and recovery. Burns seemed to let the moment get to him a bit. Understandably so. Even...
Chiesa wouldn't get that match-up if his last name were Fertitta and he was half Irish. If the match-up did materialize he would get destroyed so hard he wouldn't be able to tell his father from his mother.
Plot Twist: I'm not even a fan of Khamzat Chimaev, Chiesa is just average at best and...
Full Disclosure:
- I might post here often but I rarely start threads. I felt compelled out of sheer respect for Edgar.
- I had Munhoz in Fantasy.
- I scored the fight for Munhoz but am perfectly open to admitting that my judging (48-47) is flawed or outright wrong.
- None of that really...
DC is one of my top 10 favorites all-time.
Stipe Miocic is the unquestionable king of the heavyweight division. He has surpassed Fedor.
I would even argue that prime Junior Dos Santos on his run was as impressive as Fedor's run. Just my opinion although I'm probably in the minority on that.
Yeah, they most definitely caught on. Oh well. I got impatient. I'm actually really enjoying it. The clinch and scrambles to me are lightyears above part 3. I know most people hate the franchise but I've learned to appreciate the strengths and ignore the weaknesses for the sake of having a big...
Man, the sideburns have not aged well. I feel like Ken Shamrock is closer to the life of a pro-wrestler than a typical martial artist. He had crossover appeal/success and I feel like when he came back to MMA from wrestling aspects of it never left him.
I've never been the biggest Shamrock fan...
Huge Fedor fan but if anything this just illustrates how much both Stipe and DC have accomplished in half the sample size. In my opinion it only shines a further light on Fedor's lacking strength of schedule.
As lackluster of a fight as it may have been I feel like far too many people are going out of their way to shit on Akhmedov as an opponent and Weidman as a fighter in general. I've never been a Weidman fan but I'll never understand the amount of hate he gets and this is coming from a long time...
I honestly don't think Tuivasa gives a shit. He probably wants to sign with wherever Mark Hunt ends up. Even despite his recent slump he just doesn't seem to be a great fit in the UFC. He's one of the few fighters I would unironically recommend for Bare Knuckle.
I've watched Cormier's entire career unfold. Miocic even at his most electrifying does absolutely nothing for me. Pulling for DC big time but if I'm honest I expect Miocic to win. Hard to go into that last fight knowing it is your last while simultaneously being able to put on a peak...
