Not ufc but I remember Manhoef hitting Robbie with nasty kick after kick with not much in return from Robbie for the first couple min and thought Robbie was gonna be cooked. Robbie caught him but the start had me nervous as shit.
Typical Sherdog thread. Gotta have the few people to try and shit on an absolute legend of the sport, as well as someone who seems to be a person of solid character outside of it.
I definitely thought it seemed like a work to me. Robert can't say that Sean was in on it but Dricus wasn't though. You can't have one guy going to fake fight and the other gonna go real. The shots just looked like WWE style forearm shots to like the upper back area.
The pic of him is old as shit. Pretty sure he's just hyping his book. If a man like Hendo said he wanted to come back and fight, and the powers that be allowed it, who the hell am I to tell that man no.
I was definitely looking forward to the original matchup, but whenever I get an out of left field type pairing that I didn't really see coming I'm not gonna be upset.
I'm not saying an Alhassan win catapults Joe to the rankings, but it's a dangerous guy. I think they want Joe and Bo to keep winning so I doubt they'll match them up but who knows. I'd definitely watch.
I've always appreciated Jon's talents in the cage. His meteoric rise through the legends of the game to become champion was special to watch.
That being said, he's pretty much given everyone the ammunition to discredit his body of work and his character as well.
Jon seems to be someone...
I definitely think DDP should be next up. Everyone saying that it's not an exciting matchup for casuals. I don't think any of these guys are really that big of names to casuals where it should really matter.
Khamzat is probably the guy they want in there, but it's not like his tenure and...
Don't know if it's ugly in the sense we're looking for, but Franklin vs Shamrock were Ken seems to be getting dropped before the punch even arrives. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, or missed something, but it seemed kinda fucked looking.
Although Paddy hasn't shown me that he's got the potential to be a top guy it's hard to lay down anything on Tony at this point. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if whoever gets put over in this fight ends up being Conor's next fight.
