What happened to Kevin Lee ?

The problem is Iaquinta, who was never more than a "pretty good fighter" and part-time realtor, beat Lee twice. Both fights showed clear holes in Lee's game. Lee was dangerous early in the fight as his wrestling/GnP and punching power were threats. But he was a front-runner, who weakened pretty...

What happened to Kevin Lee ?

Except he never fought for the title. I'd put him somewhere between Erick Silva and Till in the list of Great Flops. I believe he talked about a possible comeback a few months ago. Edit: lo and behold, he posted this on IG less than a week ago. If you're a sponsor, please consider this bright...

Has he auditioned for any horror movies?

Media Wild stat regarding Blessed Man Forever (Sir Max Holloway)

I agree Nick was better. However, Nate did try to imitate Nick's "punches in bunches" style at times. His best effort was against Cerrone, who was still a very good fighter at the time. Nate also ate a lot of leg kicks in that fight, like Nick sometimes did. Maybe if Cerrone kicked as hard as...

Media No love lost between Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping

Bisping went life and death for 5 rounds with a 46-year old non-TRT Hendo who had no business in a title fight. Hendo was simply the better fighter, with a better/longer career and more good wins over top competition. Deal with it.

Is Islam Makhachev the most well-rounded fighter in MMA history?

That was 15 years later. There's a reason I said 1997. I'm sure Vitor honed his BJJ skills more over a decade and a half.

Does primal Justin Gaethje beat Holloway?

Both are couple of years past their real primes. Just because Poirier won his last fight doesn't mean he isn't showing signs of aging.

Does primal Justin Gaethje beat Holloway?

Just at LW we have Primal Justin Bendo with a toothpick in his mouth Motivated BJ Tiramusu-free Khabib Islam with Khabib in his corner Pre-2020 Tony Ferguson Chandler with a Fight IQ Above Comfortable Room Temperature Pre-Mayweather Conor That's a dream tournament there if someone can get a...

Is Islam Makhachev the most well-rounded fighter in MMA history?

Jones really used his reach/size well for both grappling and striking. His striking skills were uneven (good kicks, not very good boxing, spinning elbows and unorthodox moves) but unless other fighters were tall/rangy like him, they had a lot of problems figuring him out.

If they fight I hope Colby wins...the salty tears on here will be unreal.

Is Islam Makhachev the most well-rounded fighter in MMA history?

The Gracie black belt (however legit that was--seemed sketchy) really made Vitor look like an unstoppable force in 1997 when that credential was very rare. Super fast dangerous hands AND you don't want to take him down. Randy Couture's dirty boxing was the perfect strategy.

    Butterbean might argue with that!

Is Islam Makhachev the most well-rounded fighter in MMA history?

HIs chin and the fact the former FW champ went life and death with him for 5 rounds in their first fight. He's still a great fighter but I can't say he's the most dominant with no weakness.

Media Arman Tsarukyan roasts Michael Chandler: "You could've lost 4 exciting fights" while waiting for McGregor

I'd never advise anyone to wait for a fight with a guy who got a $100 million payday in boxing. People should realize that MMA was never a big deal to Conor after that. Even though Chandler-Conor is now "official," I still wouldn't bank on it until they walk into the cage. I wouldn't be...

Media Arman Tsarukyan roasts Michael Chandler: "You could've lost 4 exciting fights" while waiting for McGregor

Stunned his opponent early in the 1st....gassed or made some Low IQ blunder in Round 1 or 2 and got finished.

Why was Aldo incapable of clean knockouts?

I was going to say Mike Brown but I went back and watched the end (it's on Youtube) and it was all GnP on the ground. I must have confused that with another fight. Aldo definitely had more of a killer instinct in the WEC, though, as also shown by his devastating leg kicks against Urijah Faber...

Older MMA Fans, did Crazy Horse Bennett have potential to be a threat in the UFC?

Yeah, he said BJJ didn't work but had a win by omoplata. Like I said, he got by on athleticism and specialized in exotic/unorthodox stuff (which was cool) but never mastered fundamentals.

Older MMA Fans, did Crazy Horse Bennett have potential to be a threat in the UFC?

Yeah, one of these days I may do a thread about the entire generation of HWs about 5 years younger than Sylvia/Mir/Arlovski/Big Nog/Fedor who totally flopped or didn't reach their potential for various reasons. All the guys you mentioned (except Abedi) along with Herman, Travis Browne and a few...

Older MMA Fans, did Crazy Horse Bennett have potential to be a threat in the UFC?

Too bad we never had a backstage fight between Krazy Horse and Lee "I'm Still in Prison" Murray, who allegedly KO'd Tito in a street fight. Murray is another fighter with a lot of potential but had too much craziness and criminal activity to reach it.
