Yes but season 5 had 10 episodes instead of the usual 12, in that sense it was rushed. But yeah they have no excuse for the garbage writing - seems like Marco D'Amore fell in love with his character and then pushed the show to direct around him unfortunately.

I'll be going next month to Rome for the 3rd time. It's quite an impressive city, if you only have a week then skip Venice and go for either Naples or Florence. That would be a better experience.
In Rome I'd stay in Monti neighbourhood. Good restaurants and some nice cocktail bars, also close...
Favourite series hands down. Just a bit disappointing with Season 5 since it was rushed and the finale was probably the lowest point of the whole series.
I lived in Brussels for 4 years. Depending on the neighbourhood you're in you can be in a very beautiful spot, or a total shithole. Unfortunately I'd say at least 50% of the city you feel like you're in the total shithole. Enjoyed my time while living there but very glad I left, don't miss too...
