Holm is a bit overrated I feel, but her style may match up well against Cyborg. But man Cyborg charging at you is much different than Ronda charging at you.
My pick would be Valentina, 135 this weekend, and 125 when that opens up. Might be a close one with JJ, but at a 125 fight, I give the slight edge to Valentina.
Oh btw DJ did accept the fight, with the condition that he gets paid extra if TJ misses weight. Perfectly reasonable. It's the UFC that turned down the fight. It's on them. Place your judgement where it belongs -- at the employer who underpays, disrespects, and bullies not just their fighters...
OP, the easy way is to sit behind a screen and pass judgement. The easy way would have been to stayed bent over and let you employer have their way with you. No my friend, DJ took the hard way. Respect.
Easier had nothing to do with it. He always wants hard fights, hence I didn't really like the Borg fight int he first place. This was purely a respect and compensation thing. It could have been any fighter coming down. DJ was just pushed to the point where he had to stay his ground. The UFC...
It's not an analysis, it's just facts. You have no analysis. If PPV sales dictates, the UFC should respect their champions more and should pay if TJ missed weight. They decided not to that so this is on them.
The hate for DJ here is absolutely disgusting. Did I not go through the same thing you guys did or are you guys a bunch of casual clueless just bleeds? I agree that DJ/TJ is the better fight, but the fault is purely on the UFC who turned down this fight by not agreeing to pay DJ if TJ missed...
Way to take things out of context. John said all that in regards to Conor fighting at 145 period, not specifically about defending the belt. He feels there is no challenge at 145 anymore and Conor's body is best suited for 155.
