How does Khabib Vs Burns go?

Yeah, its interesting. But the thing with Khabib would have been his wrestling pressure. I could see a situation where Burns hurts him, but Khabib would take him down to the ground (to regain his bearings, and wear Burns down too). If Khamzat would have done that more (yes, he's got to be...

What rank should khamzat be this Tuesday ?

He's #1, because there is no one else who fans want to see fight. That's the bottom line, rankings mean nothing clearly. If you asked fans who they want to see fight Usman, yea, some will give Edwards his due (due to his win streak), but most will want Chimaev.

What’s next for “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung?

The guy is 35 apparently. And as you say, he took off a couple years of his prime. That truthfully was his downfall there. But in the end, his age showed. Not all 35 year olds can fight at that age. Remember back when all the war horses from PrideFC came to UFC (e.g. Gomi), they were shells of...

Colby vs Khamzat - Your prediction for this fight?

Khamzat showed he can be easy to hit, but Colby has no power. He (Colby) cannot fight moving back... which he would be... and it will be very interesting to see the wrestling that takes place here. My guess is that Khamzat imposes his wrestling on him, like Khabib could with Gaethje. But yea...

Colby calling out Dustin is one of the worst call outs ever

Then he better hope for Luque, because he wants none of Chimaev. I'm one who says fighters aren't scared of other fighters because they're not. But in this case, there is reason for Covington to fear Chimaev--Chimaev would do to him what he has done to others, except Khamzat would end the fight...

The "Striker vs Wrestler" Narrative Always Ends The Same Way

All these fools citing exceptions, but proving the overall point. It is why all the Dagestanis are crushing MMA (besides the Nigerians, but one of the Nigerians is a wrestler, the other two are exceptions.) Its Dagestan and Nigerians at the tops of divisions!

Colby Covington should fight the winner of Khamzat Chimaev/Gilbert Burns instead of Dustin Poirier

Dustin is not going to be a fat LW with 15 lbs? Cobly is very smart though in calling out Poirier. It's a similar matchup for him as Jorge was, and stacking names like those two really helps his legacy. Burns is a tougher match for him, due to the fact that he (Cobly) won't want to go to the...

Media POLL TIME: Who's Next For Khamzat?

Holland would get pummeled and ruined (i.e. Michael Johnson vs. Gaethje. Johnson went from contender to gate keeper type guy after that one.) Don't need to do that to Holland yet.

    Khamzat SMESH Everyone MEGATHREAD.

Khamzat is clearly a real contender, the question is who has anything for him. And we already know the answer, since Usman has already taken the route he (Khamzat) is on. Wrestler base, strong, straight punches, big 170er. He vs. Usman is the best fight. Now, the fight I'd like to see? Khamzat...

The Sad Part if Leech Wins

He ain't winning, unless Chimaev is too overconfident. i.e. No need for Chimaeve to stand and trade with a guy who can't stop his takedowns, etc. Just be patient, mix things up, eventually wear him down, then go for big shots standing or finish on the ground. "Easy" victory if he does.

News Nate Diaz to Conor: I banked on ur face, turned u into a wrestler’

I think the trilogy happens in a boxing ring about 5 years from now, when both are retired... I think Masvidal also gets in on that trilogy, and if they play this all out right, they can all make nice paydays to start their 40s.

Nate Diaz hints at a jump to boxing.

I don't believe Nate should... I don't know why people like to put Nick above Nate at this point. Nate still is relevant in MMA, Nick is long since gone from the sport. BUT... he still can fight regular folks, and boxing Jake Paul? I think it would've been a perfect outlet for him and Jake.

Prime BJ Penn or Prime Khabib, a better fighter and career?

The best way to compare is to find comparable style opponents (e.g. Hughes = Khabib, GSP = super Khabib) and piece it together. (On Khabib's list of opponents, I see no one comparable to Penn's style.) Penn manhandled prime Hughes, and gave GSP some fits early in their first fight. It is fair...

Khabib named BJ Penn as the 2nd best Lightweight, BJ got something to say about that...

Did you see him fight Matt Hughes 1? He just mowed through him like NOTHING. Did you watch GSP 1? YES, GSP won the fight. But for that first half of the fight, BJ seemed to be in control. Jon Fitch fight? (Yes, he eventually lost that too.) Point being, "Khabib destroys any version of BJ" is...

Khabib named BJ Penn as the 2nd best Lightweight, BJ got something to say about that...

Its debatable as to the more dominant fighter (Penn circa '04, the one who sliced through both prime Gomi and Hughes like butter vs. Khabib circa 2014-2019 capping off with McGregor-Poirier-Gaethje). I think the question of who is "greatest" is fairly clear cut. The (fantasy) question of who...

Dan Hardy names Mt. Rushmore of European MMA

Real question: Shouldn't Russians be considered Asians since the country technically takes up most of Asia.

    Another Paddy thread

Not sure why he's not next in title contention to be honest. I mean, they propelled that jabroni ill Michael Chandler to the title shot after one fight.

Anyone else hope Walt Harris smashes Tai?

Don't have a dog in the fight, but I suppose it would be nice to not see dude drink a beer from a filthy, public bathroom walking, stepped in poo, stinky, germ infested shoe.

Josh Fabia questions Dana White’s relationships with UFC female fighters

Even talking about him legitimizes this guy. He tricked a punchy fighter into taking him on as a trainer or whatever Fabia was. But seriously, does he have a background in a fighting art even? Edmond at least (I think) had a boxing gym when Rousey joined him.

Media Conor McGregor Passes Out After Clubbing and Partying in Hollywood

Well to be completely honest, this is a symptom of why he's now a gatekeeper level fighter these days. Anyone who's done this type of night life (and has tried to play competitive sports) knows that you compromise your performance the moment partying comes in to the picture. If you look at...
