I suppose you are right... on a technicality, due to missed weight that prevented him from being eligible to call it a defense. The reality is, he won the title and then beat two more title contenders after. These were Chandler, Gaethje and Poirer, at least two of which were widely considered...
I'm not saying nobody else could beat him, but here is where we stand.
1. Islam ran through everybody put in front of him, albeit most weren't elite.
2. He got to the multiple time defending champ and ran through him pretty effortless.
3. He was a bigger favorite in his expected rematch with...
You mean chose the harder fight? You got mental issues if you honestly think Volk doesn't stand a better chance than at least most of the ranked LW fighters. None of them would be anywhere near a 2-1 underdog like Volk opened. It would be like 4 to 1 or more.
You forgot that anything less than finishing your opponent is basically a loss. Winners finish fights. If you can't finish, you're a loser. It's why GSP is actually a below average fighter. Most of his title fights were basically losses.
That's not how belts work. You get a belt for every championship win. Khabib has 4. Conor, 2
Like literally, that's why guys like GSP and Silva have shelves of UFC belts.
Now let's go back to comparing their losses.
Remind me what I cried about. My only post on this subject was pointing out that you are obviously very racially biased... and obviously also a complete POS.
Meanwhile you are doing the actual crying. "Grasso should have got the decision" <DCrying>
So you're saying that in her time in MMA, she isn't concentrated solely on striking and consequently less time training a single art means a slight drop in performance in that ability?
<TheWire1>
She's one of the best strikers in the division, but as one of the better grapplers as well, why...
I agree that he's not far better, but he won in both the striking and grappling. He knocked Oliviera on his butt, which was supposed to be Olivieras biggest advantage (doesn't mean he is a better striker, but it does close that perceived gap in their striking abilities).
Skillwise the gap is...
Would he though? It could be said that 280 was a normal night but Islam had an off night in the rematch. All it would prove is that Charles CAN beat Islam, not that he's actually better.
No matter how this fight goes, Islam would be the favorite in a trilogy 100%. He completely dismantled...
First off, he claims to be 18-0, so no, I don't believe a word out of his mouth unless verified elsewhere.
Secondly, he said "no kizzy". I can't trust anyone that immature.
Betting #s are a pretty close approximation of people's overall feels, or else those odds wouldn't be there. That said... No.
Huge upset, but not on the level of serra/GSP or Rousey/Holm
