Movies Our greatest living movie star is......

Clooney is basically the same character in every film he's in, to a very uninteresting degree. And the reason Cruise has been taking "safe" roles is because for a while the only thing he's cared about is creating great theater experiences/spectacles. I'm sorry but in my mind boring as fuck 3...

The Crazies(2010)- A little let down by this one. Enjoyed the early scenes of townspeople becoming crazy and I thought that most of the focus was going to be the town descending into madness. But it pretty quickly became focused on the military quarantining the area, which was much less...

NFL Players are overrated when it comes to "toughness" and athleticism.

Less than half of NFL stadiums use turf. He did it on grass.

Dude how is it so easy to dunk on you? Get ready this is gonna blow your mind. When Tyreek hit his faster speed than your soccer bums, not only was he wearing a helmet, pads and holding a ball.... He was also running on grass

NFL Players are overrated when it comes to "toughness" and athleticism.

Nah, once again you have no idea what you're talking about. Tyreek Hill hit his top speed on a kick return, so from a dead stop to running through and around 11 players all trying to tackle him. Ronaldo on his run doesn't even touch the ball till the very end. Another player kicks it down the...

NFL Players are overrated when it comes to "toughness" and athleticism.

Ok... they're wearing essentially shorts and a tee shirt while running in a sport where it's almost illegal to be touched by another player. And they're still slower than someone wearing a helmet, pads, carrying a ball and having people actively trying to grab them.

NFL Players are overrated when it comes to "toughness" and athleticism.

Nope sorry, the estimate came from some show where they had him do a timed sprint vs a sprinter (who has comparable 100 times to nfl receivers) and they said he was 10% slower. But if you wanna compare in game, then let's do that. Ronaldo's top speed ever recorded was 21.26 mph. The NFL's...

NFL Players are overrated when it comes to "toughness" and athleticism.

Just looked it up, turns out Ronaldo more than likely can't even break 11 seconds in the 100 meter, 11.17 is what generous estimates put him at. 11.17 and a 30 inch vertical.... holy fuck imagine having the pinnacle of your sport be less athletic than a dude on just about every decent high...

Half this thread can be summed up as little kids going "Mommy! Mommy! I ran around the block 2 whole times!!! And Im not even tired!!!! Im a great aThLeTe!!!" Played halfback in soccer there is literally nothing special about the endurance requirement.

Ronaldo is considered one of soccer’s best athletes and has a 30 inch vertical….. that’s about the same level as an obese lineman.

How much income taxes does the UFC Pay?

Dated a server for a long time, she reported maybe 50% of what she made if I'm being generous, as is the case with all servers. And the effective federal income tax rate of someone making $40k a year is about 7-8%. Not sure where you're getting your numbers but just look up the tax brackets.

You left out a couple NFL rejects: 9.69- Tyson Gay 9.74 - Justin Gatlin 9.79- Maurice Greene

To defend Terminator 3 just a little, it's really the only movie post T2 that actually progresses the story. Salvation is essentially a prequel. Genisys is so all over the place that by the end, it's like who the fuck knows where we're at. And Dark Fate basically ends in a spot where we're even...

I could definitely see Dark Fate falling the most of any of the movies. The more I think about it, the less I like it. Of the bottom 3 films in the franchise (T3, Genisys, Dark Fate), it has the least interesting and most recycled storyline as well as the least grounded/Terminator feeling...

True. He's actually written so weakly that for a decent chunk of the movie I thought the twist was going to be that because he grew up constantly being told "Youre destined to be the savior of mankind" he's now no longer destined to be the leader of the resistance and Clair Danes is. But no they...

Realized a couple weeks ago that I may actually love Terminator 2, so spent the week watching all of its follow-ups. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines- Had no real expectations for this and went in just expecting some dumb fun. And man was I still disappointed. Nick Stahl is bad as John...

John Dodson has never been finished in 37 pro fights

Didn't realize he was in BKFC, gonna have to check him out. Always a fun guy to a watch, and a crazy good athlete. Allegedly could dunk at what 5'3, though I question that, and saw him do American Ninja Warrior back in the day. He flew through the course and only fell cause his arms were too...

Francis Ngannou: First PFL Opponent to Receive $2 Million Guarantee

From what I’ve read it’s just shy of 8 figures per fight The reports I’ve been seeing have Francis making “high 8 figures per fight” and that his opponent is required to make at least 2 mill minimum. So I figured 8-9 mill for Francis the 2 mill for whoever he fights.

Francis Ngannou: First PFL Opponent to Receive $2 Million Guarantee

Is all of mma outside the UFC just a big money laundering scheme by cartels/foreign govs? Between Francis and whoever he's fighting that'll be roughly 11 million. Just to cover that they'll need to sell 220k ppv's at $50, not even factoring in paying the rest of the card and general operating...
