He was ranked 6th for a nice stretch of 2011 into 2012, and I believe that is as high as he got. As far as UFC, he was top 5 during that stretch because guys like Aoki, Melendez, Chandler, and Kawajiri were killing it in other orgs.
And then you consider that in other sports, all in season training and medical things are taken care of on site by the team. And they take home 50 percent of the revenue. I can see how 50 percent may not be feasible, but it should go up.
