Yeah, unfortunately the new breed of MMA fans weren't watching when Carwin was around! Carwin could literally throw a 2 inch punch and KO people with his sort of build and power :P Plus he was a part time mechanic so he wasn't even a full time guy technically (like Stipe)
That's why Dan called it off, because the follow up punch would have been a clean punch and Overeem was going out cold.. and Dan knew that and so did Rozen. Overeem had his hands down not even defending after the hit, that is very telling isn't it!
Oh for sure its the highest winrate thing Joshua can do, it still doesn't feel like a pure striker match with that match clinch and ref split though (my opinion ofcourse.) That said, Klitschko has actually been coaching Joshua for a while now! Even for this fight. You could see it i think
I totally agree. It is rough to watch! It almost felt like watching someone playing a fighting game but they used the really cheesy effective tactic that kind of kills the game.
I wrote another comment before that about how Joshua was basically wrestling him non stop to stop Ruiz from attacking, maybe that didnt go through man! :P
Did you see how Joshua was forced to clinch everytime a fatty came in and threw a single powerstrike? Clinch x 9000. Good luck doing that ot a UFC fighter. Joshua would get fucked up doing that out of habit. He basically fought liek a boxer disguised as a wrestler but in a boxing match
And not much power apparently! Joshua just constantly clinched and grabbed every 10 secs.. at some points it was more reminiscent of a wrestling match rather than a boxing match when Joshua doesn't want any engagement and just clinches, frustrating to watch, i imagine it was very frustrating to Ruiz
Jones always pisses hot. 3 and a half years later and they are still finding picograms in his system and the picograms have even gone up before some of his fights, rather than down.
You seriously deep throat Jones on a daily basis if you think he only cheated in 1 fight ever. Also, stop being...
Still not true though, it says he landed 34 punches and threw hundreds:P Its not like every punch ever is a huge KO.
By the way, not taking away from Wilder, dude has amazing power :P Just people pretend that each and every shot with him is a KO and it isn't
Thats not true. People forget that some of Wilders KO's still come after him throwing 200-400 punches. If he could just KO anyone from any given video clip of him landing a shot (like you heavily analysed this 1 punch from Ngannou,) he wouldn't need to throw hundreds and hundreds of punches just...
Israel Adessnya has more knockouts total, I'm sure theres other guys but I saw his record the other day, 44 or 45 KOS when added all together. Theres probs other fighters too just dont know off the top of my head
