God doesn't hate you but he has forgotten you. But that is only because you have chosen to live amongst the weeds. You must choose to rise above that and allow yourself to bloom if you want to be noticed.
You might really like the Hammer horror films. Frankenstein was a good. Maybe some old Mario Bava films. I would also recommend Suspiria, Eyes Without A Face, and Hour of the Wolf.
I've never seen Crimson Peak but it might just fit your preference.
Might not like these but I love them
Slither...
Discourse on Method-Descartes
It's a pretty short read and a good starting point in philosophy. It's also one out of three philosophy books I have read.
Beyond Good and Evil - Nietzsche
The Myth of Sisyphus - Camus
Sounds like you want something noir. Drive is great
Blue velvet
A Simple Plan is a good watch
Coen brothers have some good ones too. The Man Who Wasn't There doesn't get mentioned often.
Also Blood Simple
But I recommend going to some classics.
Gilda
Laura

Varys
"Me?"
Tyrion
"You're the one with out a cock. At the very least you won't piss your pants."
The Martian
Gladiator
I'm not a fan of Ridley Scott. Alien was good though. I haven't seen Blade Runner in awhile so I'll let it be.
Gravity
I just didn't get the hype. Well I did. It is a beautiful looking movie but the story sucked imo. Super boring
Scarface
But it gets a pass because...
