You see, im talking specifically for the REC7 the gun can take both types of ammo. We ran about 1000 6.8 then 1000 5.56. It's a worst case scenario type thing in the field and its the only thing you got you can still return fire if all you can get is the 5.56 you wont be srcewed
Dude, its the sales pitch Barrett is using to score contracts with the CF and the UA. The 6.8 can take the 5.56 i've tried it out.Its not as accurate but it works. Huge jamming risk though. You have to load the rounds in the 6.8 mag. And its more like firing .357 out of a .38 special.
Buddy, if the gun is chambered for a 6.8 you can run a 5.56 no problem without any changes. However on a point of agreement, the only 7.62mm we use is 7.62x51mm
The SCAR is nice, but hard to get used to. Packs the same punch as an M-4 and it weighs more. The rail space is not great. I got to try out the ACR, really nice gun. Packs a punch. The issue of the ACR(which i witnessed on a range) is that you could pull the trigger once and multiple rounds...
I'd also recommend a crowbar. The thing is if you use a weapon to defend yourself it has to be used in a non-lethal manner. I say hold the guy at gun point and wait for the cops.
Many members of the canadian forces get approved private purchase .40 pistols. Personnally I use the .40 or 9mm. What I like about the .40 is that you can fire 10mm rounds as well. I don't find much of a difference in shooting either one. I'd say the main difference is that 9mm ammo is easier to...
A reduced load won't run your action properly and is more than likely the cause to your problem. Guns are designed to run and operate with the proper loads. If you fire a smaller load, the gun must be modified to operate with a lesser load.
Go to a range try out different guns then make a pick. Load it with hollow point rounds. Lots of damage on flesh, but they explode on impact when shot at a hard surface
The FAL is a great gun it was Canada's main battle rifle from 1950s-1984 as the FNC-1 the FNC-2 was the automatic version of the gun. Also get a .416 instead of a .50 M82 is nice but the M99 is better. You'll need about 5gs to buy one and get a decent scope
