    Don’t know what to tell you. That’s an average. I’ve bulked up quickly before. It wasn’t fun. But 10lbs in 3 months, even after 40, is very realistic for me. my workouts now are primarily for maintenance with more patient muscle growth. And I don’t want to be more than 240-245.

    I get it. as I age, it gets harder and harder. This year, I had to cut my work out times. My body couldn’t handle 90 minute workouts anymore.

    Good for you. it can be done. It’s not easy. But it ain’t that hard. people don’t want to put in the work, and they think it’s impossible to add significant muscle quickly. The human body is so adaptable, if you put in the work into the exercise, diet and rest.

    I did gain body fat. I gained about 30lbs or more. Had to lose 10lbs to get back to a similar body fat % as before. I trained before to be in shape and for muscles. But never did it prior to bulk up and get big. A different mentality.

    My conditioning sucks. I lifted for strength and looks. and with all the weight cutting in the UFC, most folks aren’t looking to add mass. if you want to gain 10lbs of muscle and can’t do so by working out and eating, don’t you think something is wrong with your workout and diet?

    I don’t remember. Maybe 6-12 months? most of the weight came quickly In the first few months, though. I ate like a mad man. Forced myself to have 4-5 protein shakes a day. Ate all the time. lifted like crazy. I gained 30lbs, and had to lose about 10 of it because my chin was getting thick...

    I put on 20lbs of muscle quickly without roids. So it can be done. I bulked up 30 lbs during the process. I wasn’t as cut, but looked thick all over. jon doesn’t look like he packed on much muscle. That would be the worse bulk I’ve ever seen.

    Worked from home. had a home gym. Lifted like crazy and ate a ton of protein and calories. it’s not that hard. I was also a D1 athlete, and I’ve been active my whole life. So lifting was not new to me.

    His body fat % doubled. im sure he got stronger, but damn. There was one point where it looked like he packed on 10-20lbs of muscle. now, looked like he “retired” and ate pizza
