watch how bob foster angles his body so it looks like he is going to jab the body and then he brings the jab up from where the opponent cant see it. ive had great success with this simple technique.
gonna have to open that book up again.
from coxcorner article on joe gans.
that seems to be a lost art too. parrying and reaching out and stoppin punches before they get close to you. i think foreman was the last person i seen do that. nowadays the only parry taught is against the jab.
washed him. aldo fucked up big time. mcgregors feet werent even properly set and he still sparked him he was so open. conors footwork and timing are amazing.
aldo really fell for the mind games. came rushing in nervous and tense. shocking.
except he has a national amatuer boxing championship in ireland which is no joke. his boxing credentials and technique are much better than aldos boxing.
he makes boxing look so effortless. and the leverage he gets on those right hands. look very painful. perfect balance. great jab.
looks like it all comes back to the stance again. your thoughts?
how does aldo have better boxing than mcgregor? because he keeps his hands up and stands more square and looks more like tyson? mcgregor is the better boxer with better boxing credentials and background.
what are some good ways to set up the right hand without opponent seeing it?
also any ways to correct the bow and arrow bad habit ala jermain taylor where your right hand comes back when jabbing? horrible habit i picked up from somewhere.
