To what extent did Ken Shamrock influence the development of 10th planet JiuJitsu?

This got me nostalgic for old Shamrock fights and found this one. Not on his official MMA record but doesn't seem like a work? He slaps that guy into next week a few times, plus his sub set ups are sweet:

    Gi company...Noble Savage?

Trying to remember a brand of gi called something like Noble Savage. Eddie Bravo used to wear the pants and I trained with someone once who had a full gi, it was really nice. Certain the name is correct but can't find anything about them.

    M. Dern's accent

Didn't she have an interpreter in the cage with her at UFC 222? Is it common for someone to completely forget their mother tongue in a couple of years?

I can't finish off opponents with submissions

Just coming back after long (1yr +) layoff. Had a nice little arsenal of high % subs. Now I can finish fucking nothing. So hopefully you're doing what I did just in reverse. You'll get there eventually.

    Anyone training BJJ without sparring?

That is exactly what my reply would have been, but worded better.

    Anyone training BJJ without sparring?

What belt are you? I kind of got the impression you were a white belt for some reason, but it sounds like you're a higher belt? That does change my opinion slightly.

    Anyone training BJJ without sparring?

So everyone knows you at your gym as the guy who leaves before rolling? I'd be ashamed go back!

    Anyone training BJJ without sparring?

Sparring is the line the puts BJJ, Judo, Boxing, Muay Thai etc... above allthe bullshit out there. As someone else perfectly said, if you're not sparring, you're no different from people doing Kung Fu/Krav Maga etc.. Give up as you're wasting your money.

JRE MMA Show #11 with John Danaher *live now!

What the fuck is that? It's so completely weird, like psychotic weird. You get invited to a wedding or black tie event, you wear a suit, end of. It's disrespectful not to. Like I said, I'm calling lycra fetish.

Really struggling and falling behind in BJJ

At least you can train. Been off the mats now pretty close to 2 years due to a few issues. Seeing all my friends win medals, getting promoted, guys I used to do well against but would annihilate me now, plus feeling like I've lost most of the fitness and strength I worked hard to build up, is...

JRE MMA Show #11 with John Danaher *live now!

It was a really good and informative podcast and he's obviously a great teacher. However, I've always really disliked Danahar. 1) Always wearing rashguards, what's up with that? Wear a fucking shirt once in a while. I'm sure he has a lycra fetish. 2) He never competed. Why not? I firmly believe...

Finishing the cross collar from mount

I often find myself in mount and trying to finish a cross collar. Massive Roger worship. I find it hard to finish sometimes and often give up and move onto something else. I feel pressured that when I try and put it on, and my opponent resists, that I have failed. However when watching...

    Training Exclusively in the Morning

Hate training in the morning, but that's just me. Hey, if you can only train in the morning, and can do that regularly and consistently, as long as there's one or two guys there you can have some good rolls with, it's definitely fine. And if you can get to the odd evening class to switch it up...

    Coleman or lesnar prime

Although he might have been past his best at the time, doesn't the Couture fight shed a little light on this question? He was a similar size to Coleman, on paper had similar wrestling accolades (although I might be wrong here), and was the more well-rounded fighter.

Mark Coleman could have been goat

Controversial as this may be, I never really rated him as a really good striker, even when he won K1. I just think he was so roided up he didn't feel any damage, he took a lot of big shots but just walked through them. Reminded me of Wand during Pride days.
