1440p @144hz is I think the sweet spot for now. My monitor is a 27" 1440p and some videos 720p-1080p don't look as good anymore. Especially the 720p full screen. I'll probably jump on 4k whenever the 11x or even 12x gpu from Nvidia comes out.
