Stipe just posted a message on his fb page, mentions it's bulk time and we may see a 250 lbs Stipe next
I think it has to be done if he aims a Ngannou trilogy or faces Volkov / Jones / Black beast next
The Fedor vs Tim fight speaks for itself.
Gets KO'd and chocked in 36 seconds.
Couture would have shown more threat to Cro Cop than Tim.
The UFC HW's at that time weren't as good as the Pride HW's. Tim and Arlovski were behind Fedor, Mirko, Big Nog and Barnett.
This is why he never appears...
Chuck vs Overeem
Crocop Wanderlei 2
Fedor vs Randleman
Shogun vs Hendo 1
Shogun vs Rampage
Pat Barry vs Kongo
Any Ngannou fight
Brock vs Cain
Ronda vs Holm
Arlovski vs Browne
In a cage I would never favor Fedor
In a ring, he beats most of them
Sambo is perfect to take down someone in a ring but in a cage it's all american wrestling
Stipe has defeated Ngannou and in the second fight has lasted more time and took more damage than any other HW so that shows how good he is.
But in the last fight it was all Ngannou.
When Stipe was the champ people claimed how every opponent he faced ''fought stupid'' , Werdum bullrushing him...
Both Stipe and Cormier already declined for their second bout.
I believe they were in their prime at the first fight.
Stipe won by superior IQ and gameplan but the best Stipe we have ever seen was during his first three title defenses.
Somehow, prime Stipe resurfaced during that fourth round...
I don't know why Fedor and Cain fans still get butthurt when we talk about Stipe.
Those 6 UFC HW belts aren't fake. Plus, one of those belt was won versus one of the scariest HW ever.
Ngannou ain't not Brett Rogers there.
Stipe has never received the respect he deserves. But a sherdog...
Fedor's weakness was american wrestling.
Coleman took his back quite easely, Randleman supplexed him, and in a cage, american wrestling is more efficient than sambo.
Against Barnett, Brock, Cain, Cormier or Stipe, he would be in serious trouble.
Let's not forget he was reversed and caught in...
Every single fighter fades away and gets embarrassed after approx 9 years at high level.
JDS getting smashed by Ngannou is really interesting because a few years ago, it was JDS who was the young lion who turned Cro Cop blind.
Casual fans would now assume that both JDS and Mirko are bums, but...
No
At 38, there are more chances for Stipe to decline than to evolve. If Stipe fights Ngannou again, there would be two concussions in between and he would be even easier to KO.
But it's ok. Stipe did an awesome job. He is still 1-1 with Ngannou and has 6 shiny UFC belts at home. If he retires...
If you look at Stipe from 2016 and Stipe now you can see he looks a lot older. Being more skinny doesn't help.
I believe his prime was during those four fights :
Reem, JDS, Ngannou, Cormier 1
He had a huge back, weighted around 240, you could see in the Cormier 2 fight his decline already...
What I find funny is how Cormier went into bro mode for Cain for years, talking about AKA, best gym ever, always together, and all. And when Big Frank knocked Cain out, he didn't even try to avenge his supposed ''bro''.
AKA talking like they are like Chute Boxe or BTT, but not ready to step up...
If you feed Stipe, in Japan, Nagata, Fujita, Zulu, Kohsaka, Oyama, Yoshida, Kanehara, Sakuraba, Dos Caras, Minowa, and Magomedov, you will most likely build a great aura around Stipe, the same way with Cro Cop and Fedor. Trust me.
Stipe while not in his prime yet lost a close decision to JDS and then, beat Werdum who just beat Champion Cain, and then knock JDS two fights later.
Stipe is the worse stylistic matchup for JDS, we saw that in their first fight when Stipe was still green, and Cain doesn't have enough chin to...
As a Pride FC fan that met Fedor twice and had witnessed the aura of the HW GOAT at that time, it is now 2021 and the competition has evolved.
As Cro Cop said recently, there is not Greatest of ALL time, this is bullshit. Fedor is 2010's era greatest, Stipe is 2010's era, and there will be a...
