Really? Because I often find myself watching fights thinking, "Hmm, well I thought Fighter X won that round, but I wonder what some D-list celebrity thought!"
I guess you and I are just too different people.
He really doesn't though. I still have no idea what his gameplan is/was. He's not initiating anything, just leaning his back on the cage and letting Colby rack up rounds.
Maia lost to Woodley, a wrestle-boxer, then took a fight against Covington, a wrestle-boxer, then took a short notice fight against Usman, a wrestle-boxer. He's not afraid of anyone.
And over 30 wins. And in those 45 fights, he's only been stopped by strikes now 3 times. I'm not saying this guy is some unstoppable monster on his way to the title, but he proved he has clean striking and power on top of his grappling accumen.
Yeah, I'm on board lol. I still wasn't overly impressed with his first two fights (Phillips has zero grappling skill and the other guy took the fight on like 3 days notice) but you can't argue with what just happened.
Again, section 5 just says it is up to the discretion of the referee when to implement replay. Section 4 covers everything that happens when a replay is called, and article A under section 4 clearly says that if the blow was deemed legal the fight should be ruled a TKO.
"The referee may, at any time during a contest or exhibition, call a time-out to consult with officials of the Commission or to view replay footage." - All this means is that it is up to the referee's discretion when to implement the use of replay. If you scroll down further in the article YOU...
They literally JUST showed a note from the commission saying that the fight should have been stopped after the use of replay, and in this case was not.
She was able to fight because the ref gave her time to recover after absorbing a legal blow. It was a clear TKO when the knee landed, so if the ref deemed that knee legal than the fight should be stopped. Once replay is invoked, the fight has to be stopped. Pretty clear rule.
PMP: *says some logical things about wanting a team that can relate to him and support him*
Me: Wow, that's actually some pretty insightful stuff. Maybe this is a new Mike Perry.
PMP: ALSO I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW TAXES WORK
Me: Ah, there he is. There's the Mike Perry we know.
