MMA is the closest thing we have to real hand-to-hand combat (meaning without weapons). Other combat sports are limited by certain rulesets. For example you can't kick in boxing. You can't punch in BJJ. And so forth.... So why not make MMA even more realistic and remove this limiting rule...
