What was the most historic thing you witnessed in person or took part in?

Yeah. WS tickets were corporate seats from my aunt who worked for Zurich Insurance (were Blue Jays' insurer at the time). The Sabres tix we (brother & friends) bought because they were dirt cheap compared to seeing a game in Toronto, even with the exchange rate.

What was the most historic thing you witnessed in person or took part in?

Both in 1993... Joe Carter's walk off homerun in the '93 World Series. Brad May's "Mayday" OT goal vs the Bruins I was too young to appreciate the significance but saw Terry Fox run through town on his Marathon of Hope

Better MTV Unplugged: Nirvana or Alice in Chains

Nirvana. The fact they didn't play their "hits" & people still talk about the performance says all that need be said.

    R.E.M |Losing My Religion| - (Rate the Song)

7/10 It's a shame this is the song the general public remembers R.E.M. for. Their discography is filled with LITERALLY dozens of better songs. Hell, it's not even the best song on "Out of Time".

New Order |Blue Monday| - (Rate the Song)

10/10 One of my favorite songs ever.

The Jesus & Mary Chain's new album 'Glasgow Eyes' is out on Friday the 22nd of March!

JAMC are one of my favorite bands. I loved both new singles on first listen. They both seem like a return to form. Although, I could say the same thing about all their singles since "I Hate Rock n Roll". Unfortunately those singles are all part of lackluster albums (Munki, Damage & Joy)...

    Queen |Bohemian Rhapsody| - (Rate the Song)

While I appreciate the talent required to write & perform the song, it represents everything punk rock rebelled against in the late 70's...overly pompous, over produced, takes itself too seriously, etc., etc., etc. For transparency, I'm NOT a fan of Queen. I acknowledge the collective talent of...

Social When was the last time you had a good belly laugh?

I had high hopes for this movie. Sadly, they were not met. So much wasted potential.

    Dick / Not a dick

It's dick-ish of you to even ask this. You're a grown-ass man who, presumably, knows how alarms work. Hell, you were in a hotel...GET A WAKE UP CALL! It's not your friend's responsibility to ensure you drag your ass out of bed. The fact you're asking this question suggests you're looking for...

Media Francis Ngannou has made $30 million from two boxing matches. He only made $3.5 million from 14 UFC fights in 7 years!

...& Francis wouldn't have made a fraction of that $30M if he'd never fought in the UFC. This is such a stupid comparison. Floyd Mayweather was only paid $150k for his 18th fight (1st title win) & didn't earn his first $1M purse until his 25th (6th title defense). Had Ngannou never fought in...

Out of these cover songs - Which 5 are the best? (Third Quarter-Finals)

"I'm a Believer" isn't technically a cover. It was written by Neil Diamond but it was first recorded by The Monkees. Diamond played on The Monkees' recording but didn't release his own until the following year.

A celebration thread for the world's greatest cover band, Me First and The Gimme Gimmes. Any other fans? Ever seen them in concert? Feel free to share your favorite Gimme Gimmes tunes. On the Radio (Donna Summer) Sunday Morning Coming Down (Kris Kristofferson) Science Fiction/Double...

Joy Division |Love Will Tear Us Apart| - (Rate the Song)

A stone cold classic, 9/10 from me. As others have said, it's not even their best & the world lost out when Ian Curtis hung himself. For me, these live versions of "Transmission" & "She's Lost Control" are almost unmatched. Transmission She's Lost Control

    Name ONE Underrated Song

Men Without Hats (of "Safety Dance" & "Pop Goes the World" fame) 1991 left turn from new wave/synth-pop to being a guitar-based band, "Sideways"

    Bevis Frond

This is a band I've always meant to check out, after being introduced to them via Teenage Fanclub's cover of "He'd be a Diamond"
