Media Rafael Fiziev Says Creation of UFC 165lb Division "Isn't Just a Rumor, It's Already Happening For Sure"

Instead of adding 195, I'd shift middleweight up to 190.

What's your dream matchup that you always wanted to see that no one ever talk about?

Fedor had issues with smaller fast guys. It could've been an intriguing match.

Shavkat vs Colby makes a lot of sense

I'm not sure that Colby ever fights again, tbh. But I'd certainly tune in to see this matchup.

If Islam Makhachev defends his LW title 3 more x and goes up weight and beats the WW champion....

I think it'd depend on who the victories were against and how the victories came, but he'd almost certainly be in the discussion for top 5 if not top 3.

    Who can beat Islam?

I hope Arman can earn another shot. Their first fight was a lot of fun. Oliveira always has a shot with his boxing. I think a lot of guys at 170 would present tough challenges for Islam. Ideally, for me, he'd do 2-3 more fights at 155 and then move up.

Islam beats every ranked WW besides Leon and Shavkat...

I'd love to see Islam vs Covington. I think some top WWs would pose big challenges to Islam, but that'd just make for compelling matchups. I really hope he moves up.

News Christian Rodriguez misses weight AGAIN! 140 lbs for BW fight

Don't have to make it random. Just schedule official weigh ins on multiple days of fight week: 3 days, 2 days, and 1 day before the fight.

If Islam crushes Oliveira again, has he surpassed Khabib all-time?

I voted Khabib, but it would be very close. If Islam beats Oliveira again and then another top-ranked challenger, I'd probably bump his ranking above Khabib.

Who would you have loved to seen Fedor Emelianenko fight in his career? (Around his prime)

The guys I most would've liked to see, and who's prime coincided with Fedor's: Couture, Barnett, and maybe Overeem.

Sean O’Malley adamant about rematch with Marlon Vera in 2024

I'd much prefer the champ fight Merab. Then, whether he's still champ or not, he could book the rematch with Vera.

    Impressed by Grasso

I had it 3-1 as well, but round 4 was super close. I also thought round 5 could've gone either way given how well Shevchenko was doing in the first few minutes. But a draw is not a crazy result. But doesn't that draw mean Grasso is now a "disputed" champion rather than an "undisputed" one?

Belal Muhammad vs Kamaru Usman anyone ?

I think Belal should be getting the title shot, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen (could change, though), so: Belal - Usman would be a solid contenders match. Belal - Chimaev would also be a solid contenders match if Usman wanted an easier fight next or wants to take a long time...

Rumored Jones - Gane did 1 million PPV-buys

PPV buys probably generated a million dollars of revenue. Maybe even more.

Best thing for the HW division would beat a Gane win and Pavlovich win

You have to hand to Blaydes: he doesn't handpick his opponents. I don't know who to pick or cheer for--compelling stuff!

If fights stopped cutting weight, what would your ideal weight classes be?

    140 150 160 170 180 (or maybe 185) 200 200+

Gamrot, Tsarukyan or Fiziev? Best LW rising star?

Good thread topic! 1. Arman 2. Gamrot 3. Fiziev (though he might get the biggest push and is arguably the most exciting of the three)

Media FKL explains why he return to UFC instead of PFL Update calls out Colby

IMO, 170 is where he's always belonged. But he should start out there by fighting guys who are ranked in the 30s or 40s. But they'll likely put him in vs top-15 guys and he'll lose.
