Does anyone know what happened to Go Kashiwazaki?

Blew out his knees and now messed up his back. He still trains but is doing personal training and stuff now, talked to him awhile back and he does want to return once he gets his injuries sorted out. As far as Kashiwazaki idk, he just vanished. He came up around the same time as Seiichiro Ito...

I'm way behind again lol but it just broke that Kakuryu is retiring

Still never finished up the last basho but I'll try to keep up with this one

    SUMO - 2020 Kyushu Basho (Nov. 8th - Nov. 22nd)

Finally got caught up. Was really rooting for Terunofuji and that was a great abisetaoshi win on the final day. Can't be mad though, Takakeisho looked great this basho. January will be interesting with Terunofuji fighting for re-promotion to Ozeki, Takakeisho possible Yokozuna bid, and the 2...

Naya got his kachikoshi already at 4-0, they can't deny him a Juryo promotion this time

    SUMO - 2020 Kyushu Basho (Nov. 8th - Nov. 22nd)

Interesting stuff. Obviously taking some of it with a grain of salt but absolutely agree with him on the JSA needing reform and how the elders don't handle a lot of things properly

    SUMO - 2020 Kyushu Basho (Nov. 8th - Nov. 22nd)

Takakeisho looking in good form so far, a lot less pulling and charging in wildly with his head down

    SUMO - 2020 Kyushu Basho (Nov. 8th - Nov. 22nd)

Haven't watched the Makuuchi stuff from today yet but Ura had a very cool izori, been a long time since I seen him do something like that

    SUMO - 2020 Kyushu Basho (Nov. 8th - Nov. 22nd)

All caught up, Terunofuji and Hoshoryu are looking great. Ryuden's tachiai is the funniest thing I seen in awhile and the commentator's disgust at it was maybe even funnier. Shodai vs Takayasu was fun. Cringed at how Shodai landed off the dohyo and rolled his ankle but he seems alright

Enson has been his trainer so maybe he can help him fix his personality/attitude a bit. Genuinely interested in how he does, even if he wasn't the most talented or highest ranked rikishi to cross over, he might be the first sekitori level wrestler to do so young and without a history of major...

    SUMO - 2020 Aki Basho (Sept. 13th - Sept. 27th)

Obviously the guy he fought was a big tomato can (also allegedly a pos), but Takanofuji looked pretty comfortable everywhere. Once he landed that big right hand he seemed to settle in and that front headlock position is definitely something he should work more on, maybe the best position for a...

    SUMO - 2020 Aki Basho (Sept. 13th - Sept. 27th)

Btw Takanofuji won his MMA debut last night with a 1st round TKO. He actually looked pretty decent and was landing some big Hammer House style grounded knees

    SUMO - 2020 Aki Basho (Sept. 13th - Sept. 27th)

Shodai should be a shoo in for Ozeki even though he "only" got the 32 wins. He hasn't had a makekoshi since last September and had double digit wins in every basho since then except for March Definitely should have been more special prizes given out, 6 Maegashira wrestlers with double digit...

    SUMO - 2020 Aki Basho (Sept. 13th - Sept. 27th)

As everyone said, Hoshoryu's kakenage was spectacular. Probably technique of the basho. Naya won up in Juryo and Ura is up there tonight. Those 2 plus Chiyonokuni back in shape, and a few of the top division guys dropping down should make for a great Juryo tournament in November

Bummed to see Terunofuji's potential Ozeki run pretty much go up in smoke like this. After all he has been through it's probably best if he takes it cautiously if he's in pain though

I thought he was going to pull off a kimedashi when he got in that position, he's usually unstoppable there Here's Shizuka Sugiyama, Momoko Yamazaki, and Kenji Osawa doing sumo with an amateur women's champion Looking into her more, she did a video with Kai Asakura too (he has a sumo...

    SUMO - 2020 Aki Basho (Sept. 13th - Sept. 27th)

Wish Hoshoryu was having a better debut but I expected him to struggle a bit, he's a smaller rikishi himself and isn't quite there technically just yet. At least Juryo will be way more interesting next basho should he get demoted, would love to see him and Ura go at it.

Ura's bout was good, too bad he lost. Hopefully he wins his last one, that should guarantee him a Juryo promotion

    SUMO - 2020 Aki Basho (Sept. 13th - Sept. 27th)

Feels like a henka or shift of weight at the tachiai works against Takakeisho at least 80% of the time. He needs to keep his eyes up and quit charging head down and low
