    Advantages of Thai style punching

I agree with Hatake. I also notice that. I think that’s because of Thai Style Upright stance. Punches are mainly set ups for power kicks.

    Standup Style for LEO/Corrections

I have a small exp working in a prison ( not as a guard ). I would advise wrestling or judo and boxing ( wrestling/ judo is more important for me). I think wrestling/judo is better than bjj because bjj relies more on patience which is not a good choice in this context. You want to be explosive...

Height Advantage in Boxing, Kickboxing and Muay Thai

IMO, boxing is the striking sport where beeing shorter is the less disadvantageous. But as the shorter, you need something to counterbalance the situation. For me, in mma, kb or mt, as the shorter, you need to have a better footwork because you need to cover more distance and be able to «...

Do I really need to lift weights in order to be able to fight someone?

I personnaly think that, as an amateur athlete ( full time job + children etc... ), Weight training doesn t worth it. It's better to keep your time for striking refinement, shadow boxing, heavy bag, light sparrings and calisthenics. If you are a pro fighter, of course, being "stronger" is...

You should post a video of your roundhouse kick if you want advice... If you are looking for power, in a biomechanical perspective, i think that the muay-thai roundhouse "way"is the best option ( as you already said ... ) the follow through, the use of the arm swing ( which can be considered...
