"Muay Thai" brand... looking for some answers

Muay Thai brand is going to be a second tier quality Thai brand along the lines of Thaismai or Inter. So not on the quality level of Twins, Fairtex, Top King or Windy, especially when it comes to Thai pads. That being said, Thai pads from these second tier Thai brands will be better than most of...

Triumph United Death Adder 14oz Gloves Review

Nice review! I haven't put enough rounds on mine to break them in yet since everyone at the gym loves getting hit with my enormous Twins and I've been reluctant to switch my sparring gloves. But every time I look at or put the TUs on I can't believe I paid $50 for them. Construction wise, the...

what is the best mouth guard?

If I could interrupt for a moment, neither of you are looking very good in this situation. Having a reasonable and rational discussion about mouthguard science and technology would benefit us and the forum, but instead we have to see two adults bicker on the internet, claiming the other is...

How to clean muay thai shorts

I just throw my in the wash with all my workout clothes then dry them on low heat. They seem to be holding up fine structurally, but some of the silvery sewn on adornments have faded, which doesn't bother me.

    Muay Thai Gloves

Ryyonvin hit on all the reasons why bag gloves are less than ideal. Get the BGV1s, and your hands and thumbs will thank you.

    Muay Thai Gloves

Don't get bag gloves for pad work and possibly drilling, especially the open thumb design. If you want a smaller more compact glove, I would recommend going with a 10 or 12oz Fairtex BGV1 for bags, pads, and drilling.

    Source for purchasing Raja Gloves

Muay Thai factory is legit. I ordered a pair of gloves that were in stock, and they arrived to the states in 3 days.

    Best way to clean equipment?

Agreed with above. I use a lysol style cleaning wipe after each session, always wear hand wraps, and wash my wraps after each use. No adverse effects for the liner and my gloves don't smell rank.

    Best Shin Guards

Yeah, then either get the Fairtex SP5 as Ironwolf recommended or the Twins SGL3. Both are billed as 'competition' shin guards, but are more protective than the cotton slip on ones, and not as bulky as top kings.

    Best Shin Guards

Top King or Twins SGL-3 if you want something a little less bulky.

Heads up. 50% off triumph united and revgear

Just ordered some Death Adder lace ups! Also added in some things for a couple gym mates so we could get free shipping. So also have some Velcro Death Stars and shin guards coming. Nope, but i ordered a Large for a 6'0" guy at my gym. Hope they fit. Also, I think you'll only get taxed if...

    Different Models of Windy??

I've seen Windy stuff for sale in a couple shops near ActionZone in Bangkok. They also used to have a shop in the old Lumpinee, but I'm not sure if they have a dedicated shop since it closed. Yeah not fake, just made by Windy for sale outside of Thailand through Combat Sports.

StRatoCastRs guide to lace up the elastic way!

I would also appreciate this, as I would like to give the elastic lace treatment to my Twins.

    Different Models of Windy??

Windy models are somewhat of an enigma. I can tell you that maybe TG = Training Glove and BGV = Bag Glove Velcro, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what gloves Windy puts those labels on. Also, I think the gloves that you posted with the white/beige cuff and logo seem to be...

    Twins BGLL-1 Initial Impressions

yeah, mine look more like KickassSeabass's, although mine seem larger. FMeffect's pair has more of a closed fist and a less bulbous look. His were also massively overwieght and mine are slightly under (1.25oz). Consistency does not seem to be a strong point of the Thai manufacturers.

    Twins BGLL-1 Initial Impressions

Yeah, sorry about the pics. Until I get the hotlinking issue fixed, I've just supplied links. Hopefully those work. I'll try to get a picture this week next to some 14oz Twins BGVL3s. That will really highlight the hugeness of these gloves.

    Twins BGLL-1 Initial Impressions

Been laying low for a while, but decided to post up some initial impression about my newest sparring gloves. My $30 Karate Joe Windy's finally bit the dust, well at least the velcro did. The first time I had to refasten the velcro mid-round, I decided to go ahead and get some new sparring...

    Thai Pads

I haven't used the newest version, but our gym has some older Cageside pads, and they are awesome. I always reach for them over the other brands available including Boon, Revgear, Ringside, and others. Affordable too. http://www.cageside.com/product-p/cs-itp.htm
