I remember seeing Tony Marino as Battman( two ts )on studio wrestling from Pittsburgh. That was Brunos territory back then.
He ended the gimmick in 1970. I turned 3. It's just a fleeting memory though. My biggest memory would have been a match on studio wrestling between Dominic Denucci and...
To add I am an admirer of Whipper Billy Watson. One of the greatest draws in the history of pro wrestling and easily the greatest Canadian draw of all time. The guy just drew money like crazy especially in Canada. He was so over that he actually defeated Lou Thesz for the NWA world...
You must have misheard it. I believe you are talking about Billy Robinson not Watson. He was talking about a pretty famous story from his training camp to become a pro wrestler. The iron sheik was part of that training class as well as Ken Patera, Jim Brunzell, Bob Bruggers and Greg Gagne...
Before all the mentioned above, there was the strongest...... and the most feared.
Bert Assirati is the strongest wrestler who ever lived.
Before steroids or supplements. Before training programs and modern medicine. Before single ply and multi ply, There was Bert. 5' 6" and stronger than them...
Its weird. I get a lot of hate from the people in the 50 plus community that are on TRT. They say Im the one not informed. They things like, " you wouldnt say something to a diabetic who needs insulin. We need the TRT just like they need insulin." Stuff like that.
Actually a lot the over 50's dont consider trt or hgh as drugs per se.
Thats why I mentioned it. Its hard to explain but the mentality from my age group is that it perfectly ok to use. They actually get offended when I say Im not on trt or even hgh. The same guys will blast somebody on tren or...

He asked for tips that might help him. I gave him tips that helped me. An average not genetically gifted guy to add.
You gave him yours.
What is wrong with giving it a try?
High volume never improved my max bench. If it works for you, awesome. Everybody is different.
Nothing wrong with different...
Also not trying to be a jerk....
Ill stick by my statement. Being realistic who is going to bench 4 times a week like with the Sheiko program?
Close grips got me to a double bodyweight drug free bench starting at age 51. Spotos helped me get my mojo back after corona hit.
They are variations of...
Maybe try Spoto's and or close grip bench. Not too close though..
Im drug free and do raw benching
Im 53 and weigh 165. My best touch ang go at this weight is 335. I did 305 for 3 last week. I want to hit 315 for a triple.
Before corona I was training paused for competing and hit a 325...
Good! No not in the biz. Got divorcrd in 2015 and gave it to my ex and walked away. I work for a hospital in their food service dept. Less money but have good insurance, retirement plan and lots of paid time off. Remarried too.
Still have your dojo?
Im a huge fan of Santo. The problem is two fold for him as a draw. Number 1, the attendance record keeping in Mexico was almost non existent. Number 2, Santo spent a lot of time making movies and appearances that he did not perform as much as people think. A lot of historians and Meltzer point...
There was a thread recently that posed the question of who was the biggest name and draw in history. Those are two different things. The thread had some interesting debate, include different interpretations of Dave Meltzer's take on the subject of the best all time draw. I reached out to Dave...
Just to add.... That doesn't mean I think Londos is the GOAT or even the biggest name. But I do think he was the biggest draw.
Under differing criteria, you could easily have 20 different Goats.
