It's created by people that were born during the Karate Kid era and believe there is a 'charm' in wearing a belt, it's a ego thing "hey dude, I'm a black belt you know"
They are rushing things up going to places like Dubai without being a real strong brand in the fighting world in the first place (I know some will dispute this, but let's face it, outside of us, Glory is not followed by that many fans yet).
Well, from what I heard there are not real fans of Muay Thai in Thailand, the only ones who watch the sport are gamblers and the people involved in the game (oh and us, foreign fans).

In one you have a big talent pool in one country but not much outside of there. In the other you dont really have a real big talent pool in a country but it's more varied around the world, especially western world.
