The whole thing used to be that the concern was someone getting pinned against a cage. Isn’t ONE proving that to be BS? MMA becomes a lot more interesting if we start getting knees and kicks to grounded opponents. More finishes.
Max has also absorbed more headshots than any other MMA fighter ever, is getting old, and jumping up a weight class. My gut says Justin beats him up badly, and I’m rarely wrong.
Look I’m all for fighters getting paid, but it’s also a bit weird to me to see another man care what a man is getting paid. That’s their business, and they’ve agreed to fight for a price. That’s their deal. Think they give a fuck what you make?
Nope, Max is going to take a shit load of damage. Best case scenario is he gets KOd early without taking too much punishment. Irresponsible match making IMO.
Nope. Took tons more damage and ruined his legacy. If he retired after Weidman 2 he would still be considered a GOAT candidate. Now he is rarely mentioned.
Everyone acts like Reyes ran away with it, but if you actually watch the fight there were many combinations Reyes threw that completely wiffed. Some people in the media DID have Jones winning. That has been rewritten to the fight not being close and Reyes clearly winning it.
He’s already won a title at MW and the weight cut is killing him. That only gets worse with age. Best to defend once at LHW and move up and challenge at HW to be 3 division champion.
Bro Blades is so overrated it’s not even funny, the guys got 4 KO or TKO losses against elite competition, lol zero chance against Jones. Shouldn’t matter to you anyways you must have big bags of money betting on Jones over Gane since you knew it all.
The point is hindsight 20/20 bra. Gane was even odds with Jones and now everyone pretends they knew it wasn’t going to be competitive. Same would happen with Aspinall.
Jones could also beat Aspinal’s ass and Sherdog would say Aspinal was never a real champion, was unproven, and overrated. That’s what happened with Gane.
The problem is I think people say shit like “Fighter A” is ducking “Fighter B” without even a small clue about what’s really going on. The fighters take the fights the UFC offers, unless your someone special like Conor who has his own rules.
