Dude is 36, sure he wasn't 100% healthy and took the fight on short notice, but it was a good payday and at 36, those good paydays aren't going to be around forever. I can understand why he took it.
Tough to tell, but this guy needs to work on his ground game if he wants to be a long term champ. Modern day MMA fighters absolutely need high level grapling/wrestling/ground game to truly dominate or keep a title for a meaningful amount of time.
Elite striking just isn't enough anymore.
Dude was over rated af. I got laughed at for saying it before. People just attach their egos to guys and then get delusional about them and get all insecure when people bring them some reality. Hopefully it's sunk in for them now.
