Dieselnoi's career trajectory is weird and probably has more to do with his involvement with Klaew Thanikul than anything else. He seemed to be part of Klaew's PR project, as the manager of the best fighter in Thailand, so fighting or especially beating Dieselnoi might have backfired.

He started as just a clincher but developed his kick at some point. Pretty obvious in his fights with Singdam, Attachai, Yodsanklai. He just never landed it very much against those guys.
Takasan had a clip of him finishing Namsaknoi with leg kicks but it was on his instagram

I can't think of any other modern 1v2 matches, but apparently the tradition dates back to the late 1700s when a French fighter went up against a Thai fighter. After he lost, a French cornerman jumped in to avenge him and was also knocked out. Or at least that's how the story goes.
