No, Even if you fight the perfect heavyweight fight, you face a chance to get KO'd and that chance is bigger than in any other weight class, so every extra fight adds another chance that you get caught.
HW's should try to fight for the title ASAP, because even a bum HW has a puncher's chance...
Fighters will no longer stretch their fingers when they know that once they (accidently) poke the eye they lose. Surely, it will result in maybe 1/2 controversial losses, but afer that it will be over quickly with poking.
Rn fighters know that even if they poke someone, 99/100 times the ref wil...
Conor actually got one of the best ground games in the light weight divsion, something haters don't wanna admit. It makes Khabib's victory over Conor even more impressive. But remember how Conor sweeped Nate? How he stopped takedowns from Mendes, and once he got taken down did more damage and...
Nah, because Jones actually will be 240+ lbs, and still has a reach advantage. Izzy however legit fought someone 20 pounds heavier, and it showed during the wrestling.
You're not "sleeping" in the normal way if you have alcohol in your system. Like, yes you're out, but your brain is not "asleep". So pretty dumb for an athlete, since it probably gave little to none sleep benefits, but also gave him a hangover.

It's about the fact that someone from a different org should prove himself to be UFC level, and you don't do that with just 1 win over Dan Hooker.
Gaethje was an absolute animal, and had to prove himself as well. Dustin is 100% right that Chandler doesn't deserve a shot rn.
Passive as in, Hooker barely did anything in that fight other than circling. Like, we still don't know if Chandler is any good in wrestling exchanges, striking exchanges or even how he can take a punch.
Chandler should NOT get a UFC title shot by just beating Hooker. Poirier had to grind his way to it, Gaethje had to grind his way to it & Oliveira is still grinding his way to it.
Chandler getting one by a (good) win over (passive) Dan Hooker would be unfair in so many ways.
To be fair if you can engage in a technical striking war with Wonderboy, you have some sort of striking technique. I agree with you that his huge advantage at 170 was part of the reason of his succes, but I still can see him knock out lots of 185'ers that are ranked.
Pulling a gun for this is obviously stupid and should be punished. Having said that, Why throw water on someone? What did you expect? That the guy said: Oh yeah you threw water over me now I agree with you?
