Why should a child receive a gift for completing high school, which they're legally required to attend? By that age they should already be working a job and making their own money on the side.
<DisgustingHHH>
Maybe this doesn't qualify as a "comeback" since both teams were tied heading into the final seconds of the last quarter. But catching a missed field goal and running the full length of the field to score the game-winning TD....that shit was crazy. Stadium Bowl emptied as fans poured onto the grass.
You could make an argument for Fellowship of the Ring. But the other two (plus the three Hobbit films) don't qualify. Legolas riding down the trunk of the Oliphant had me like
The movies had absolutely no stakes. I never was led to believe for one second that the heroes might actually fail...

JP was one of the first films that came to mind along with T2. They both came out in the early 90's before CGI advanced to the point where they could plaster that shit everywhere to save money (looking at you, George Lucas and Peter Jackson).
All six LOTR movies are nothing but a green screen CGI fairy shitfest. About on par with the Star Wars prequels. Don't know why people like them - they're not good.
My guess is they open with that scene as the hook then do an immediate jump to when the kids are young adults. Maybe deal with a "changing of the guard" scenario where the parents are passing off the responsibilities of saving the world to the kids.
I will always love the incredibles for giving...
I don't suppose we can expect more than a tangential reference to anyone in the Nintendo universe beyond an item box, or a mushroom here or there, can we?
We need a Nintendo Cinematic Universe. Each character gets their own movie and build up to a Super Smash Brothers landmark film.
