On twitter when you send a message or answer to someone it's instant and public so they started using DM (direct message) meaning it's only for the repicient. Every message on twitter is instant. Instant message is more used with chatting programs like whatsapp, skype, etc.

They could inject some masking agent into the bloodstreams of both fighters pre-fight. Then after fight they could quickly wash off the blood from the canvas into a container and see which blood masking agent is higher in concentration in it. That way they could gauge who bled more.
