Absolutely horrible news, when I was younger and dabbled in combat sports this sort of thing never crossed my mind, in reality it takes one badly placed punch to end your life, yet people sit behind their computer monitors and mock fighters for tapping to strikes, or tapping out to a submission.

At this stage of his career Conor should be smart and fight the Cerrone's of this world, he obviously won't as he still feels he's the fighter of 6 or so years ago, which he isn't.

No way are they comparable, if you've trained both you'd understand the different in cardio output between grappling and striking. This is not me claiming to be some pro fighter, it's simply a fact.
Because he looks good hitting the heavy bag in training? Wrestling is cardio heavy and maybe he realised he cannot handle that pace anymore, striking takes far less energy
BKFC is more entertaining that MMA these days and is growing in popularity. I think it's great that fighters who are maybe past their athletic best have an avenue to still make money.
