Not really. I never saw the last 2 seasons and had no problem with it. If you are familiar with the X-men just think as this taking place some time after the og series and you are good to go.

Anya Taylor-Joy is pretty but I don't think she fits a tough girl. She has a cute bamby face and looks completly out of place as furiosa, Charlize Theron has a edge to her that made it work .

They already adapted other arcs from the 80s and not use the older costume, so for me it doesnt really justify it. Its not really that they follow the comics they just adapt arcs and set them in the Jim Lee days.

So far its been really good. Only questionable decision is using the purple costume for Magneto, it was in the comics but is not from that era, that was a 80s costume.
