oh, that's for sure, definitely made me develop a good solid guard, although at the cost of neglecting head movement, but at least I never got dropped in sparring thanks to my guard haha.

I rarely sparred hard tbh, so that's good to know. (although that one year i did go to sparring sessions once every one or two weeks) I considered giving it up but combat sports are still my favourite hobby so i think ill just stick to light sparring or something more grappling heavy.
