People really try to argue that beating Eddie Alvarez is this huge accomplishment. Who cares if he was double champ, he moved up and beat Eddie Alvarez and that's all he did at that weight class.

Everyone knew Jan is bigger before the fight, yet almost everyone thought he would lose anyway. After the fight all you hear is "he beat a middleweight". Jan won because he had a good plan and stuck to it, experience and fight IQ mattered more than size this time.
