7:14. I don't think you can say the only reason it's banned is to protect the fighter doing it. It clearly changes the course of the fight.
This is an extreme example but it still shows you why it's cheating.
To be honest I think it's a little bit of projection. Like you said, any fight fan has to love Oliveira and his fights so it's more likely the opposite is the truth.
I just thought it was weird he put it like that.
Because he missed by half a pound not 6lbs. It had no effect on the fight, what is the reason to deny him other than "punishment" which he's already received enough of?
So he's saying he wants to fight someone else before he fights again? What's wrong with that?
Even if he fights every 4 months (which champs don't) he would still only just scrape into 2022.
People looking to hate this man for no reason.
I get what you're saying and that's why I think he should be fast tracked to a title shot but you still have to do the work. I'm not a believer in the rankings not meaning anything though. Maybe in boxing but the UFCs rankings are usually pretty reasonable.
For me if he gets a title shot next...
I don't think anyone would disagree with him fighting a top 10 next, a top 5 after that and then getting a title shot. Some people in here are talking like he should get the title fight after this weekend if he wins and that is insanity.
A 10 – 7 Round in MMA is when a fighter completely overwhelms their opponent in Effective Striking and/or Grappling and stoppage is warranted.” A 10 – 7 round in MMA is a score that judges will rarely give.
{<shrug}
I think the big difference between the 2 is that Tony is pretty much always in an exciting fight which appeals to the casual audience. You'll has been in too many boring high profile fights as much as sherdog like to oil his muscles.
