Back after a very long Hiatus!

Welcome back, StRatoCastR! Your reviews and contributions here on SHERDOG were always a huge blessing. Are you still (or back) training, and if so, what gear do you currently have in YOUR rotation?

    Fly design change

The Genuine leather FLY Superlace gloves are quite softer (most notably, I can tell it's much easier to open up my hand to catch/parry shots), but the FLY X are pretty soft as well. This could be due in part due to the synthetic material not giving/flexing as much upon impact as the genuine...

    Fly design change

This is a good discussion going on, which perhaps I hope I can help further along. FLY X (red) from Dec. 2019 and FLY Genuine Leather (stock item in blue and white) from March 2020.

    Black friday thread?

Now that was a VERY helpful response, thank you again for taking the time to share that very pertinent information. In fact, I'm a 22.5 in size head (like yourself)--and although the round vs oval head shape still plays a factor in determining the best size to fit a head, you answered my...

    Black friday thread?

"... the fly a little smaller than the winning." That does appear to be the case, as a Medium Winning FG5000 goes up to 23 in, and a Medium Fly Superbar X only goes up to 22.5 in. Could you share your head size measurement and what size you went with on your Fly Superbar X? Thank you again...

    Black friday thread?

Did you find the sizing of the FLY to be the same as your Winning FG5000? I do see slight differences between the FLY and the Winning size charts and was curious to get your thoughts as you are fortunate to have both "on hand." Thank you!

    Mexican gloves various brands

Dear fellow Sherdoggers, I recently placed an order from Juan for 2 pair of his new prototype padded gloves. I ordered them in 16 oz, and was quoted approx. 6 weeks for delivery. Little did I know upon making this order that the gloves would arrive EXACTLY 6 weeks later. Juan's customer...

    Boxing Shoes for wide feet

Compared to the REEBOK's, the same reviewer above notes in the comment section of his ADAMS BOXING V3 (Reebok style) boxing shoe review that "Quality is a little better [on the Adams vs. the Reebok] and they fit wider." For more, see below:

    Boxing Shoes for wide feet

Going by hearsay (not from personal experience), I hear that Rival Guerrero RSX 2 Boxing Shoes work well for people with wide feet. See a good review by a great reviewer (IMO) here:

    custom winning gear.

Has anyone else noticed that the WINNING BOXING GEAR Facebook page is no longer accessible? That was a tremendous blessing while it lasted, and it had an incredible archive of collected photographs.

    Post Your Gloves/Gear

I understand this boils down to one's personal preference, but this is a great question. We've got one vote for white; ANYONE ELSE want to share their thoughts?

Photos of my New Sporting 14oz Floyd-Conor themed gloves:

I'd love to hear more about these gloves, as I haven't seen any reviews on this model recently and I've been eyeing them for a while now.

    UMA FIGHT GEAR

Perhaps I may be able to shed some light on this question. The differences in price: one is listed in USD, the other website based out of Australia is in AUD (Australian dollars, so you will need to convert the currency; both sell the same product (from what I was told from the Australian...

    UMA FIGHT GEAR

Perhaps I may be able to shed some light for you. The differences in price: one is listed in USD, the other website based out of Australia is in AUD (Australian dollars, so you will need to convert the currency. Both items are made in Pakistan, and from my experience both have very good...

    UMA RT-41(stock) Review .

For the most part, my thumb issue has worked itself out simply using them on the heavy bag (as I prefer a more slender glove when sparring).

    Aqua Bag, questions?

Ringside sells (or has sold in the past) the Polyform bouy, which comes with a nozzle to attach to a hose for filling. The hold may be small, but a quick poke with a screwdriver quickly opens up the filling hole for inflation/deflation.

Difference on Cleto Reyes gloves: lettering and placement of size label?

Noticing a difference has come up with the style of lettering used on the back of the hand of Cleto Reyes gloves as well as the placement of the sizing label on the cuff, can anyone shed some light as to why one label uses a more BLOCK type lettering and the placement of the size label on the...

    Is this legit Winning gear?

For what it's worth, I've noticed that some of the stock blue colored gloves have varied in terms of lighter/darker in the past. Fortunately, when they arrive its always a perfect match.

    Equipment for longevity

Thanks for a good topic for discussion. From my experience, Winning CM-50 (which is their soft type mitt) works extremely well from a puncher's perspective, and I trust the feeder/holder feels just the same way, but be mindful that Winning quality usually demands Winning prices. I had a chance...
