I have had two pairs of Reyes now that were both in new shape and I can attest, the piping is absolutely trash on these. They aren’t real leather. It’s a felt backed vinyl and it peels like crazy. One pair was so bad that I ended up using tape to just rip everything off. I ended up taping the...
I saw a thread where someone was talking about that. If I was planning on just using them for bags and pads, def wouldn't have a problem with it, but I intend to spar with them as well. We'll see what they say I guess. I just thought it was crazy that they are tearing after roughly 10 uses.
Have any of you experienced torn thumb attachments on Reyes gloves? I bought a brand new pair from a doctor that realized that he was’t cut out for boxing after one session. They were in perfect condition. Not even so much as a scratch on them. I’ve used them maybe 10 times and now the thumb...
you can see a side by side from different agles to compare to the newer style. thumb is a little different.

they could be older “distributed by ringside” reyes gloves which were slightly different from current mexican market gloves. I had a pair of those in black. they will have a tag saying “distributed by ringside” on the inside of the gloves and they will have a serial number on the cuff...
Well, I stand corrected slightly. I just picked up a pair of the Mexican Market Reyes training gloves. The main difference is the padding in the cuff. The cuff padding in the MM gloves are softer and puffier. Makes for better protection when blocking, but then the Ringside ones have more wrist...
The Ringside Reyes Super Bag Glove is what it says it is. It's a suped up bag glove. I've never owned Reyes' bag glove, so I can't really speak for the padding on it, but based off of other bag gloves, I would say the Super Bag Glove's padding is somewhere between a regular bag glove and the...
So here's what I can tell about these Ringside gloves. They are bag gloves. Like the mitten looking style, but they are built like regular gloves. I've never owned Cleto Reyes bag gloves before, so I can't speak to the padding in them, but I would imagine these Ringside gloves have a little more...
So I just ordered a new pair of Powerlock Pros off of Amazon (from Everlast) to replace a previous pair and not only is the gold different, the construction is different, and they smell like they have been doused in spray paint. Is this change-up a normal occurance for them?
Do other people at your gyms use anything? It's going to cost quite a bit to have molds made, so I need to figure out if the demand for something like this is worth it or if I should figure out another design that doesn't require a mold.
I've seen the radius wraps before. Def an interesting concept. I kind of made my own of those, but I found that the padding moved around a little too much. Granted, it wasn't the same exact thing, but I was never sure if the padding was going to be in the right place because wraps can move...
Hi Guys!
New to the forum... First real post that isn't a reply to a thread, so forgive me if this breaks any rules (can't see how it would though).
So I'm interested to know the market on knuckle protectors. How many of you guys own a pair? Winning seems to be the best ones out there, but...
So I'm guessing I already know the answer to this since I can't find a tutorial ANYWHERE on the web, but is there any tricks to repairing the lining of gloves? I've got a pair of ringside gloves that are essentially brand new, but the lining tore right below the knuckle section and it was past...
guys. this is so simple. after working out, wipe the insides down with a paper towel, then rub the inside with an alcohol free anti-bacterial wipe. outside too if you're a big sweater like me... i throw the meister fresh linen glove deodorizers in there for a backup and take them out when i get...
