    Does heavyweight just suck?

Weight classes are a handicap. I understand why they exist and the purpose they serve for the sport. Weight classes are critically important for a multitude of reasons. But still, they are a handicap to equalize the competition of fighting. If all we care about is who wins a fight, top...

Drawn Title Fights Should Not Leave the Belt Vacant

I always like seeing a veteran of the sport unexpectedly turn into the whole package while they are still within their physical prime. WAR Moicano!

PBP UFC Fight Night 207 Volkov vs. Rozenstruik: Official PBP Discussion - 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT

Ige had heart and toughness but he got out skilled and out powered. Evloev keeps looking good but he will find greater challenges in the division from here on out.

PBP UFC Fight Night 207 Volkov vs. Rozenstruik: Official PBP Discussion - 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT

Evloev is looking sharp but he has to figure out how to circle instead of moving back by the time he’s fighting the top of the division or he’s going to find himself in trouble. Volk would be able to punish a guy who’s primary striking defence is moving backwards.

Rumored Cory Sandhagen vs Merab Dvalishvili

Do Serra and Longo still corner Merab? “MERAAAAAAAAAB!!!” “MERAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABBB!!!!!” I’m not sure how to call this one. We’ve seen Sandhagen lose to Aljo with grappling heavy game but I suppose we’ve never seen Merab against a striker as diverse and dangerous from anywhere as Sandhagen is...

Vera vs Yan is the fight

It’s hard to go wrong at BW for a good matchup but some fights make more sense than others for the division. I think I prefer Vera vs. Sandhagen for the division but regardless… Vera vs. Yan would probably start slow and get increasingly aggressive and technical throughout as Yan puts on...

Cub Swanson Beautifully Articulates Why Current Scoring System Needs Change

I would be happy for more liberal use of 10-10 (and 10-8, 10-7) under an open scoring system so the fighters/corners can know where they stand and adjust gameplan/strategy during the fight to compensate for their position. Combine that with flatter contracts that combine show+win into...

I think this will be a very fun scrap. I underestimated Moicano the last time against Alex but RDA is still a beast, too. I’ll be happy with a good fight no matter who wins here.

God doesn’t come into it for me but Bryce’s commitment to those kids is laudable and admirable.

I don’t relate to Bryce at all but he’s such an effective grappler. Barboza had no answer, just enough defence to not get stopped.
