Bill "Superfoot" Wallace working out - 73 years old

Yeah, Bill was always great an explaining things in plain English and grin like a clown. He also worked for Elvis Presley for many years and was constantly asked about his relationship with the King: https://www.backkicks.com/bill-wallace-interview/

IMF foam Gloves - What Companies Make Them - Pros, Cons

Injection molded foam for boxing gloves was invented by German Georg Brückner. His brand Top Ten used it exclusively for years as Top Ten was the AIBA equipment for all Olympic Games from 1992 to 2000 and most of the international championships since 1987. Back then the big advantage was that...

Is this Bob Wall Interview on Bruce Lee authentic?

Bob Wall passed away on January 31st. I think he had Covid at age 82. Here is an older interview with him from 1975: https://www.backkicks.com/bob-wall-on-bruce-lee/ He was indeed a good friend of Bruce, but he also made it a business later on. When his real estate business had problems he ended...

    Is western Kickboxing/FCK still alive?

There was Japanese kickboxing in the 60ies and Western kickboxing in the USA and Europe. Both were not influenced by each other in any way. Western kickboxing (Fullcontact) was 80% Taekwondo, 10% Karate and 10% Boxing. Japanese Kickboxing was a mix of Kyokushinkai and Muay Thai as you say. No...

    James Warring record

He was worldclass in kickboxing. The only loss he had for a long time was against Don "The Dragon" Wilson. He switched to pro boxing where he held a cruiserweight world title for some time. He was already retired from kickboxing for years when he fought Aerts, but needed some cash. There are...

    Is western Kickboxing/FCK still alive?

Martial arts in Germany are all about politics these days. Back in the 70ties and 80ties when the sport of kickboxing started, Germany was actually the place where it was born. Germany's Georg Brückner pioneered fullcontact karate, kickboxing, started the WAKO and invented his own equipment...

    Fighter 16 Oz leather gloves

I bought myself a pair of Fighter Gloves with a different design called 'Split'. They didn't have 16 oz so I went for the 14 oz versions. You can see them here together with my other gloves I am using: https://forums.sherdog.com/posts/161390154/

My main thing in the gym is heavybag workout. I am on the older side and don't need to prepare for competition so I workout on my own in the early morning. Here is my selection of gloves that I am using: Right: Green Hill Tiger, 16oz. Great working horse. It fits well and lasts like 3 or 4...

    Ringside heritage vs rival rs1

Me too. I think leather gloves are a thing of the past. I saw a grueling documentary on how animals are exploited by farmers who supply the leather industry. Just for that I rather pay a bit more for microfiber.

    Thai Pad vs Kick Shield

Verhoeven vs. Hari 3 in december

Rico and Badr don't really have styles that will produce a great match imho. I would think it's better to build them up beside each other rather than matching them against each other.

    Booster 14 Oz Gloves

I can imagine they buy cheap, low quality gloves and then prefer to wear stinky, borrowed 80$ gloves because they are a lot better.
